For safety reasons, mountain clothing is required for this activity. If you do not have the appropriate attire, rental options are available.
The journey begins by traveling approximately 17 kilometers along National Route 3 to reach the starting point. The hike commences at the trail’s parking lot, quickly immersing participants into the forest.
The trail passes near a beaver dam and traverses the valley until reaching a peat bog. From there, it follows the Esmeralda River to its source at the Esmeralda Lagoon. After a final ascent, participants will arrive at the lagoon, which is frozen in winter and showcases stunning colors in summer.
If weather conditions permit, lunch will be enjoyed by the lagoon, offering a breathtaking view of the Albino Glacier, the lagoon, and the surrounding scenery. Following lunch, the same trail will be taken back to the transfer point, which will return participants to their hotel.
