What a delightful experience! - Such a great experience! Nicolas was very patient, respectful, and spoke great English. He was very informative on the tour. Nicolas accommodated our requests and made the tour a little more personalized to our photography needs. The coffee and pastries were a pleasant delight. Worth the extra money. We enjoyed a private tour for 2 people. Thanks again Nicolas!

Outstanding day in Tierra del Fuego with an excellent guide! - I contacted Nicholas at Alma Calma to set up a tour from our cruise. He provided all information and set everything up. I collected a group of people on cruise critic and Facebook and they all contacted him individually for the tour. We were picked upon time with a nice clean van and excellent driver at the dock. we drive to Tierra Del Fuego. he provided history on the town and information about the area and the sites. His engish was excellent and he provided interesting information and answered all questions. I indicated wwhen I set up the tour it would be nice to do a little hiking or walking, so we did two nice walks in the park, none more than maybe a half mile. Farily easy. There was one passenger who was a little slower and he made sure the person was moving along fine (the person knew there would be walking and just took it at their own pace, and it worked well for all of us). He brought a snack of Mate tea (which we had all been wanting to try) and nice pastries. The cruise ship offered a similar but shorter excursion for about double the price. All participants were very happy with the tour. I would highly recommend setting up this tour with Alma Calma.

Top Notch Guide in Ushuaia. - Our group of 14 enjoyed the excursion more because of our superb guide. Will not hesitate to recommend him. He is knowledgeable and will take the trouble to give in-depth answers, he is passionate about his role and managed the group activities very smoothly, while being flexible at the same time. Great communications skills and a most pleasant personality.

Truly a day to remember forever - We absolutely loved our day in Tierra del Fuego National Park with Nicholas. He patiently and promptly answered my many questions prior to the trip and helped us create a custom itinerary around our limited time in the port of Ushuaia. We enjoyed everything on our wish list plus more. Nicholas’ passion for this part of the world was contagious. He packed a homemade lunch which we enjoyed in a tranquil, gorgeous private setting. We did not want to leave. It was a pleasure to be guided by a professional, experienced pro who felt like a new friend.

Wonderful, authentic experience of the park - We did a private tour of Tierra del Fuego national park in Ushuaia with Nicolas. It was such a fun, enriching experience! Nicolas clearly loves and respects this beautiful environment, and this was evident in his explanations, his knowledge of the area, and the spots he took us to in this area. Nicolas was very pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable, and took the time to show us little details and answer all the questions my family (including 3 kids) had about the park. He identified various birds and berries, which my kids really enjoyed. He gave funny stories about the history of the area while also giving us a great education on the park at the same time. The tour felt authentic, not some generic tourist trap, and we really felt like we got a good exploration of that section of the national park in the time we had. I cannot recommend this enough if you want a relaxing tour of the Tierra del Fuego park in Ushuaia with a guide.

Excellent experience with Almacalma Expediciones - Outstanding experience, all-around. Nicolas is a native of Tierra del Fuego and knows the area, its history, culture and customs extremely well. He’s very good-natured and delivers his insights with humor. He has degrees in Hospitality Management and Business Management, and it’s clear he paid attention in class. His communications were excellent and thorough before, during and after our excursion, when he followed up promptly with a photo he’d taken of our group. Nicolas’s driver, Miguel, made the experience smooth, as well, including on the park’s gravel roads. He and Nicolas scheduled our excursion to get our group to the park’s sites early so crowding was at a minimum and we could truly learn about and enjoy the key elements of this wonderful area. I would recommend Almacalma without hesitation. Nicolas and Miguel, thanks for an excellent day and all the best to you, both!

A Very Special Day - I highly recommend this tour with Alma Calma Expediciones. Katherine and Julio packed in an amazing combination of hiking and scenery stops, being mindful of the varying capabilities in our group of 9. The pastry and tea break served on a log on the shore of a magestic lake was, somehow, unforgettable, as was this very special day. Prior to the tour, Nicolas was very communicative and worked to assure expectations and preferences of the group were integrated. Pricing was very clear and payment very easy. This is a well-run organization.

5 star tour - This was a really nice tour. Katherine (Kate) was our tour guide and regrettably I don't remember our drivers name but both were excellent. We saw a lot in our 1 day private tour from our cruise ship. Book with Alma Calma and you won't regret. They are on time and concerned for your safety and are sure you will have a good time. We certainly did! Tierra del Fuego is a wonderful diverse park, you could spend so much more time there, we'll just have to come back.

Parque Nacionál is a must-see - Our tour guide met us at the ship and right on time. We took a quick tour of the city, stopping at a lookout for a beautiful view of the city and harbor. We then drove to the Parque Nacionál where we took a short hike to a beautiful overlook, traveled to the end of Highway 3, stopped at the visitor center and train station, saw a couple of the driver’s favorite spots, and purchased and mailed post cards from the southern most post office in the world. After returning to town, we toured a little more, stopped for coffee and sweets, and at the end of the tour had King Crab for lunch and walked back to the ship. The day was lovely.
