Unmissable from start to finish - Safety pin!!!! From the moment we hired, we were always very cordial. They picked us up on time with the impeccable truck!!! Carlos (Chuky) the driver, guide and cook 👨‍🍳 really excellent, very correct and cordial, in the other van Cristian was also super friendly!!! Beyond the Landscape accompanies this excursion, the finishing touch is the refuge, chopped, choripan and the best chorizo steak in recent times, we close with coffee and return to Ushuaia with a soul full of so much enjoyment, it is worth every penny!!! Do not miss it

Excellent tour - We really liked it, we went in winter and there was snow along the way. There is a stop at a beautiful viewpoint, we took a photo of the sunrise! Wonderful! The entire stretch is very beautiful, including the road. We took another route (away from the main road) with a beautiful landscape (complete with a soundtrack in the car). We passed by the edge of a beautiful lake with the banks all made of flat stones. The car passes well into the lake a few times to get past some obstacles. The guide leaves us on the road to enjoy the landscape and take photos. After a light walk we arrived at a hut where the guides themselves made lunch including starters (cold meats) and unlimited wine, choripan and beautiful roast meat. The guides are excellent, very friendly and fun. We went with Juliano who is a 10!!! I recommend the tour.

Safety pin. Wonderful experience - Safety pin!!! One of the best things we did during our stay. First we went on a snowmobile ride, something wonderful because of the activity and its surroundings. Then we went on the 4 x 4 journey, everything was incredible. First class guide Cristian (Tierra Turismo), explaining at all times. We got out of the 4 x 4 and after a 20-minute walk we arrived at an incredible shelter, where we ate a tremendous barbecue. The excursion lasts all day, it is really worth it.

Excellent excursion - Excellent experience. The guide, Franco, was very friendly and with great knowledge of the area, also very expert in driving the 4X4 truck through the uncovered area. The excursion includes lunch and Patagonian wine, which were provided inside a cabin located in a wooded area. It really was a great experience, and the guide put his humor and joy into this excursion. Beautiful Lakes Escondido y Fangano

Leisurely trip out of Ushuaia - Laura is a great guide with a PhD in local biology she’s the person to talk about fauna and flora of the area. She’s given us great explanations throughout the day plus we walked quite a bit soaking the views in. On top of that the lunch was fantastic, a lot of tasty food and great wine. Highly recommend

Beautiful area and great experience with Canal - Great experience and beautiful country. Many people just head west to the national park. But this area was stunning. Thought Canal did a great job with the trip- was very easy to check their site for trip options, they were very responsive by email and answered my questions quickly, was easy to book and pay. They arrived perfectly on time. Their vehicles were very comfortable and reliable, which I'd appreciate later when another outfitter vehicle broke down and left us stranded on the road for a while. The guides were very friend and super knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the area on my first day. The best part was the lunch they provided at a private cabin along the shore. It was like a 4 course meal, not just a snack. Was a great trip all around.

An outstanding day trip! - The time spent driving off-road was by far the best part of this trip. The scenery, especially the lakes with mountains in the background, was spectacular. The experience was made all the better by our guide/driver “Christian” and the vast amount of local and regional information and history he shared. There were 5 passengers in our group, and we were able to make frequent stops at points of interest and viewpoints. Near the mid-point of our journey, we disembarked at a lake and were able to spend about a half hour walking along the lake shore road while our driver drove ahead to the “Refugio” where an incredibly delicious barbecue meal was being prepared. We were allowed ample time for a relaxing (and filling) meal and conversation, after which we continued our trip back to Ushuaia. If you have a few hours to spare while in Ushuaia, I highly recommend this tour. It was well worth the cost.

Great drive, beautiful views, excellent food but a little cramped - This was a great day out along an interesting and beautiful route in a 4x4 vehicle. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and informative and went out of his way to be pleasant and helpful. The lunch stop was a pleasant surprise - great food and wine on the house - a cabin in the woods! We enjoyed the whole day immensely. The only slight downside was that the car was cramped with six passengers, especially when we hit the rough roads. For the price, I’d say you should not have anyone in the middle of a rather narrow back seat. It would be virtually impossible for even slightly bulky people, which none of us were.

4WD Sardines in a Can - Picked up from the hotel and my seat in the four wheel drive vehicle was in the back row, suitable for children but not for an adult who has paid good money to do a 4 WD trip. I shared the seat with a young lady who had a bad leg and was really struggling. There was very little leg room and very limited visibility out the tiny rear side window. The guy in front of us was not happy with the situation and said there was no way he was spending 6 hours cramped in the small space. I certainly felt like a “sardine in a can”. If you are going to put 6 people including a driver in a vehicle it needs to be a large 4 WD like a Toyota Landcruiser. The customer who was not happy with the situation asked to be taken back to his hotel with his partner as they would not be participating. The driver explained that at each stop we would be swapping seats so that we all got a fair chance, but he was still not happy and we dropped the two off. We were able to rearrange the seating with just the driver and 4 passengers: 1 passenger up front and 3 in the middle row, rotating the person sitting in the middle, since the back row was so uncomfortable and had such poor views. I felt for the first half of the trip that I was on a tour bus with the constant running monologue that seemed canned. There was a lot of driving, probably 40 minutes on sealed roads, then another 30-40 minutes on a dirt road, before we got to the lake and started real 4WD. The first stop on the sealed road was an overlook of a lake, which we skipped due to weather, stopping there on the return instead, showing good flexibility. At the second stop we got to walk along the lake, stretching our legs and admiring the views. The third leg of driving to our lunch stop included some moderate 4WD in mud ruts, deep puddles and the shallows of the lake; before being dropped off for a hike along the lake while they prepared the lunch. Lunch was delicious and the highlight of my trip, we had bread, cheese and sausage with olives and egg plant followed by a very tasty sausage sandwich, then the steaks which were huge with salad and potatoes. Desert was a very tasty local bread pudding. Lots of local Malbec wine in a shed in the middle of the Forrest and we got to see a grey fox who appeared outside the window just after we had finished the meal. The 4WD driving just before and after lunch was fun and I wish we could of done more of it in a bigger 4 WD. I would recommend that it would of been worth paying more to have a private tour and if we return that is what we would do.
