An incredible experience in Capitol Reef! - We went on the 4-hour llama hike with Kadi 2 weeks ago and it was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Utah! Gorgeous scenery, fun conversation with Kadi, and the llamas add even more layers of delight and fun than you’re expecting! My son fell in love with Herschel and spent the 4 hours stopping to hug him at every turn. Kadi also prepared a delicious picnic lunch - complete with tablecloth and chairs - and it was a welcome break in the shade during the hike. Highly recommend to all families - it was a cool way to see the park, and my son didn’t even realize he had walked almost 5 miles! Thanks again, Kadi!

Lovely llamas and hike - Everything about our experience with your morning llama treck was just perfect. Starting with being accommodated for our last minute decision to ask if any availability that morning, to our cool, fun and knowledgeable guide, Nicholas, and of course our absolutely lovely and adorable llama companions, Chuncy and Percy. We still talk about them and miss them! This was a highlight of our trip to Utah, thank you for the opportunity.

Llam-azing - We had the absolute best time on our hike!!! Our tour guide was so personable and knowledgeable. Before starting, he introduced us to the llamas and how to interact with them. They were so much fun and well behaved. The hike was stunning and there was so much to explore. We did two hours, but you could easily spend more time out there. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough!

Neat one of a kind experience! - We did The Traveler Hiking Tour with Ava. Although she was a bit late getting to us, she was a fantastic guide full of info & encouragement for us as we learned to handle llamas. What a fun time! Definitely worth the money & time.

Llama adventure - one of a kind experience - Our family of 4 took the 2-hour llama hike with Padraig and Ava and had the best time. The guides were wonderful and the llamas were just amazing - social and sweet. It’s clear that this group takes special care of these guys and their human friends. My kids had a blast. It will be one of the highlights of our trip! We also did a 1 hour trail ride with Ava, which was a great time, but just couldn’t compete with the llamas. Highly recommend this experience when you visit Capitol Reef. Wayne, Chrome, Huckleberry and Gunney won’t soon be forgotten.

The Highlight of our Trip! - I highly recommend this llama hike! Our guide, Padraig, was so great! We loved meeting and learning about the llamas as well as about the land. We did the 2 hour hike and wish we would have chosen the 4 hour hike or even the all-day one. We loved having the trails to ourselves and the scenery was gorgeous! While we do enjoy hiking, we are not avid hikers and found the 2 hour one to be easy and well-paced. My teenagers said that aside from our impromptu trip to see the Jazz play in the semi-finals, this was the highlight of our week in UT. Can't recommend this enough and great way to distract your family members who might no necessarily want to hike!

Lovely llamas - What a wonderful experience! Our guide, Jeremy, was wonderful, knowledgeable about the surroundings and about the llamas. We really appreciated his attentiveness to our dietary preferences. He created a menu that both met our dietary needs and was delicious! Even though it was overcast which limited our stargazing, it was very well worth the journey. Our llamas, Jethro and Huckleberry were delightful hiking convenience. We highly recommend taking an overnight llama track. We look forward to another adventure in our future, possibly out of one of the Idaho sites. Thanks again.

An Amazing Experience - We went on the Star Gazer overnight trek at Capitol Reef and it was an experience of a lifetime. We had been camping before but never backpacking. We expected beautiful scenery, and of course got it , but the serenity and service was far beyond what we expected. Our trail guide Jeremy was amazing. We kind of felt like those Englishmen in the movies who sit around smoking their pipes all day, as all their servants do the work. He did it all and was an excellent cook as if all the rest wasn't enough. The Llamas usually went on shorter treks all summer, and really seemed to be enjoying this hike up as much as we were. The campsite was perfect with red cliffs, petrified wood, gorges, and other natural amazements to be found everywhere. The way down was even more pretty, and we took a side trip to the lookout where their full day treks go. My Llama didn't like the extra delay before he could get to the comfort of his stable, but he didn't get a vote. When I look back on it now, I can't come up with any way to make this a better experience than it was. Hats off to the Wilderness Ridge folks for making this experience possible.

Llama Hike a Trip Highlight - Absolutely loved our hikes with llamas at. Capitol reef resort. A trip highlight from Zion/Bryce/Capitol Reef Parks. Guides Padreg and Jeremy were great, taking us on a scenic, interesting hike behind the resort while teaching us about llama behavior. Llamas were so cute and so well behaved. I had Doc who kept nudging me and kissing my head! Loved the experience!
