- Punta Uvita - The Whale’s Tail (Punta Uvita) is a naturally formed landmark at Marino Ballena National Park, created by converging currents and renowned as one of the top attractions in Costa Rica. From there we head out into the ocean in search of dolphins and whales.
- Ballena Bay - We will explore greater Bahia Ballena in search of dolphins and whales. Southern Hemisphere Whales (July to October) - Enjoy the humpback whales migrating from Antarctica to breed and care for their young. Northern Hemisphere Whales (December to April) - Enjoy the humpback whales migrating from the west coast of the United States to Costa Rica. Dolphins (Year-Round) - Enjoy watching spinner, spotted, rough-toothed, and bottlenose dolphins.
- Isla Ballena - Coming in from offshore, we’ll explore Isla Ballena, part of the protected Bahia Ballena. Then depending on conditions, guests can enjoy clear water snorkeling in the summer (late November to April). In the winter season (May to early November), guests can take a refreshing swim in the warm waters—a fantastic experience.
- Uvita Beach - After Bahia Ballena we will travel near shore along several beaches: Playa Pinuelas, Playa Pinales, Playa Arco, Playa Colonia, and then disembark at Playa Uvita where we started.

The whale-watching season in Uvita lasts an impressive eight months, the longest in the world. Experience the incredible joy of humpback whale watching on this 2.5-3 hour tour in the warm tropical waters of Bahia Ballena on our brand-new 24-seat tour boat.
Guests will arrive at our property for check-in and then walk to the main entrance of Parque Nacional Marina Ballena. From the park entrance, there is a short hike of approximately 15 minutes to the beach, where guests will board the tour boat from the beach.
The tour boats will travel approximately 15 miles to sea, arriving at Bahia Ballenas, which is between Playa Ballenas and Isla Ballenas. This is the best place to observe whales and dolphins. Then, depending on time and conditions, your guide will take you to swim and snorkel near Cano Island or to visit the Whale’s Tail natural landmark.

Take Costanera Sur/Ruta Nacional Primaria 34 south to Uvita. Pass the Rio Uvita bridge, then make a right (.75km) on the street just after the Naluri Collections Home Goods Store. Then, drive .60km until you see the Martin Adventours office on the left, 80 meters before the intersection.

Amazing experience!! DO NOT HESITATE - We took this excursion in Uvita to watch whales. Evaristo taught us not only the whales but also has a very extensive knowledge of the rest of the fauna, we saw a raccoon, several types of birds, a sloth and explained the whole landscape and fauna, as well as recommendations of where to eat. The beach finiquito arch paradise the icing on the cake!
Very good experience and 100% recommended. Pure life!!!

Whale tour, visit arch beach and we saw a sloth thanks to Evaristo - Evaristo is a formidable Guide, super wise, funny, empathetic, few you will find this way in your life. Of the best of Costa Rica, he and his “capis”. Pure life!!

Mandatory stop - Incredible tour the experience is majestic, the treatment of the boys is incredible thanks to them and the Evaristo Guide, we went to see whales the experience exceeded expectations, definitely recommend them.

Whales 100% Guarantee - The tour was just amazing!!! We could see 6 whales, 2 turtles, a caiman, and some beautiful birds in a single tour.
The guide recommended to go for another whale family search, and he had selected the right spot, as we could see a baby whale flying just in front of us!!! Unique!!!
After that boat's captain generously took us to Arcos Beach, which had amazing caves, and delicious fruits for the break.
Martin's staff is super profesional and kind, they were not worried about the time but the tourist experience, and our safety, surely best in town.
They really know what they are doing, highly recommended.

PERFECT DAY! - What a fabulous day!! The tour guides were very organized, super friendly and very informative. They all seemed excited to be ding their jobs and did them well. They spoke perfect English. Our group had both English and Spanish onboard and they managed that seamlessly. We saw the whales, which of course was epic! Went to a lovely secluded beach for fresh fruit and tea, made passage through a super exciting cave, and saw birds, etc. The guides were very knowledgeable about all things, and again, were genuinely engaged. The captain of the boat was very skilled and we felt very safe the entire day. We can't wait to some back later in the season so that we can snorkel and bring friends and family as well!

Pura Vida - Amazing tour, we had the luck to see how 5 or 6 whales, they really take the task of looking for them so we can see them. The guides too pure life, attention and amazing service.

THE BEST LANDSCAPE OF MY LIFE, EVARITO IS AMAZING (THE GUIDE) - From the reception you can see that they are Pro people, we feel so confident in every way, from the arrival the Guide gives us all the indications to have a great experience, and introduces us to the crew.. we can see whales, turtles, we went to see whale island and told us all about it, then we went to beach arch and mother of God, what a beauty of beach (there was filmed the movie Apocalypse of Mel Gibson) then we ate fruits, we also entered the Windows horns, we searched whales and we managed to see 4 adults and 2 babies.. we are grateful to Martin Adventures for the experience.
