Tour 1 Canyon Island - Tour 2 Corcovado National Park - Day 1 we visited Isla del Caño, at first the weather conditions not favorable, but when arriving to the island it totally changed. We had the opportunity to see several groups of dolphins on the way to the island; the time of the two snorkels were great, great variety of marine life, safety. Day 2 we visited Corcovado National Park; the experience was unique, we managed to see a lot of animals, the very experienced Guide with a lot of knowledge of both the park and flora and fauna, the rich food, the treatment of all the crew is excellent, friendly, attentive, overall a 20/10; we will come back and definitely recommend it 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Great snorkeling in May — don’t book on TripAdvisor - Great snorkeling at Caño island despite it being the beginning of the wet season! We saw three kinds of turtles, two sharks and many pretty fish. Our guide Michael was friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. It didn’t rain while we were out. We had 45 minutes to hang out on and explore Caño island. With good conditions it was an hour long, very bumpy, but safe boat ride each way. Don’t book through TripAdvisor/viator — I had a really difficult time making a reservation on mobile and then calling support for half an hour — and in the end they don’t actually know the company’s availability. Contact the company via WhatsApp instead. +506 8825 4031 PS I asked TripAdvisor/Viator for a discount for the terrible customer experience and they effectively offered me nothing — a discount on the next 2 trips booked together, after I completed the current transaction, which never happened because the tour wasn’t available that day. 👎

Wonderful snorkeling trip for our family - We had such a great day. The snorkeling was great and the guides helped us see several turtles and sharks. The pace was perfect - snorkeling , breaks with delicious snacks provided and a great homemade lunch on a beautiful island. All guides super helpful and friendly . Fish were beautiful. Sad to see the coral so bleached but that’s a bigger problem!

Costa Rica trip essential - Great trip! Saw lots of fish,a few turtles, and spectacular views. Our guide Michael was very knowledgeable on the wildlife and taught us so much about the fish and national park area that we were visiting.

The boat ride was very... - The boat ride was very smooth since you are going on a speedboat, I think it's worth slightly higher price. I tend to get sick on small boats, here I felt perfectly fine. On the island we snorkelled with just our group, different groups were mostly kept apart in time and/or space. We also saw dolphins on the way.

An experience to remember - We had an amazing time! The meeting spot was a nice building and they served some breakfast items. We walked the short distance to the beach and took a speed boat to the island. We saw dolphins along the way. The ocean was very warm and we had a great time snorkeling, we saw sea turtles! Between the two snorkeling endeavors we took a break on the beach. There is a bathroom and lookout tower. There are hundreds of hermit crabs by the small river to the left. After snorkeling, we got back to Marino Bellena and had a delicious Costa Rican lunch. The guides were great!

It was okay - We did see turtles and lots of fish but felt it was a bit short. It isn't a full day you leave around 8 on the boat and are back by 1pm. Please don't forget to where sunscreen in the water as many got burnt. Ideally reef safe with no chemicals to harm sea life.

Very disappointing & rushed. Just two 40 minute snorkels with inappropriate, solid, fins. - I’ve dived and snorkelled all over the world and we (me, my partner & two children) were really looking forward to this trip, but were really disappointed. In the office we were promised two one-hour long snorkelling sessions, but when we got to Cano Island each was only 40 minutes long. What made this worse was the equipment and the complete lack of time given for us to get ready once we arrived at the island. Everything was needlessly rushed. We were only given the equipment once we got to the site in the boat – it all seemed new, but all needed adjusting to fit for which there simply was not enough time before Kiko, the leader/guide had gone over the side into the water. By the time we joined him in the water he had already swam off around 50m so we didn’t have any time at all to make the extra adjustments you always need to when you’re in new kit. What made this all much worse was the fact that the fins we were offered were all half-length, open-heeled snorkelling fins with solid foot cups that would only accept our feet up to their arches. These simply are not suitable for bare feet at all – and soon into the snorkel each of us had painful blisters across our toes which was made worse by the pace at which Kiko had set off (he and the other guides were, of course, wearing well-fitting, soft, closed-heel, full-size dive fins). Most of the rest of each session was taken just trying to keep up. When my partner complained after the first snorkell Kiko just said ‘Didn’t you bring any socks?’. When I asked why the first session was so short, he sarcastically raised his voice to the rest of the boat saying “Have fun in Costa Rica!”. When I showed him my bloody toes when we got off the boat and told him he ought to get different fins, he just said “Yeah” and turned his back on me. A few blisters wouldn’t be a massive deal at home, but on a holiday when you’re planning to be in and out of the water a lot and then doing some hiking they’re very annoying indeed and certainly not what you’d expect anywhere given the prices Dolphin were charging. The site itself was OK, but we really didn’t have much time at all to explore it or do much in the way of free-diving. There was also another group there of 20 people who converged with us on the second session confusing everything. We had only 25 minutes on the Island after both sessions before being raced back to the mainland for lunch. The food was alright, but we were expected to eat it sat on palm benches that had collapsed – and looked like they’d done so weeks ago. Everything was over by 2:30, so hardly a ‘full day’. This really was a very disappointing trip, especially given the price. Definitely check out their kit in advance before you snorkel with them.
