An absolute must! - I recently had the unforgettable experience of whale watching from Uvita, Costa Rica, and it was absolutely magical. The highlight of the trip was when we were lucky enough to witness a mother whale swimming gracefully alongside her playful pup. Watching them move in perfect harmony, so close to our boat, was awe-inspiring and truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment. The guides were knowledgeable and respectful of the wildlife, enhancing the experience with fascinating insights about the whales and their behavior. The natural beauty of Uvita, combined with the thrill of seeing these majestic creatures up close, made this a must-do adventure for anyone visiting Costa Rica. Highly recommended!

Tour guide was Excellent knowledgeable and fun! - The two men were very knowledgeable and friendly and we had a great time. They found over ten whales! My favorite part was swimming/floating in the calm waters of the whales tale. Superb. Will definitely come back to same company. They are a family owned company very very nice people.

Good overall experience - Wrong time of the year to see whales, but we saw lots of dolphins. Snorkeling was an option and lots of fun. Standing and stretching is not really an option and very hard seats so be aware of that

Duplicity - Save for the initial check in, a great trip. Juliana at Adventure Uno in Uvita was awesome. Further, we somewhat serendipitously happened upon two mother and calf humpbacks. Cannot overstate how great this part of the trip was. My grievance pertains solely to Viator in offering private tours with Adventure Uno: the boating company in Uvita never made any pretense about offering private tours. Upshot: I’m out twenty bucks a person ($40 total) for a service that was falsely advertised through Viator, not Adventure Uno. The money is not really the issue; it’s the duplicity on the part of Viator.

Good but wrong time of year for whales - Overall good experience, we saw dolphins and did a snorkeling spot and staff were pleasant. However, the trip is advertised as a Whale tour but should be called a dolphin tour or discounted towards the end of March/start of April as it is expensive for what it is.

False advertising - False advertising at its finest. My girlfriend and I initially booked a private tour with this company to be alone with a guide and take all the time we need to enjoy as much as possible. We paid way more than the usual cost, but we thought it would be worth it. Upon arrival, they said they didn't have any private tours and we had to go on a shared tour with 15 others. Tried to request a refund or even partial refund, but Viator said it wasn't "worth" a refund in any way. Not only that, but the owner itself of the tour company is not even responding to my messages. Absolutely ridiculous.
