Magical dwarf king - Such a beautiful and magical place. I loved it more than Chichen Itza. The grounds were lovely and the ruins extensive. The guide gave very informative explanations.

Wonderful tour! - Uxmal is breathtaking and well worth the trip! Would recommend a tour where they transport you to and from - there's a lot to do in that area and it would be difficult to navigate it all on your own. Kabah was also great, and more interactive than most historical sites. The chocolate museum was interesting - a bit kitschy, but the chocolate was delicious! This a fairly rigorous tour, we ended up walking a total of ~5 miles, definitely make sure you have sunscreen and bug spray and reapply throughout the trip. Our guides were excellent and well prepared for the day - we stopped at an Oxxo (convenience store) to get supplies (beverages, snacks) and they had a cooler for our beverages and chocolates purchased at the museum. Bring more water than you think you'll need, you'll thank yourself ok the drive home for having it available. The lunch was also good, and made even more satisfying by all the walking in the heat and humidity done prior.

You cannot miss this tour, it's better than Chichen Itzá, by a lot! - If you have to decide between Chichen Itzá and Uxmal and Kabah, don't even think twice and get this tour! Uxmal is a whole city with many structures most of which you can climb. You can also see everything from a scenic lookout point. Crowds are smaller, there are many spots with sunshade where you can rest from the heat, and enjoy the silence. You can hear the echoes better. Certified guides are all trained to give you pretty much the same information, so you will receive the same basic info whether you go to Chichen Itza or Uxmal. The lunch provided was better than other tours I've been to, but keep in mind that they don't accept credit cards for the drinks, which you have to pay. If you like steaks, order the Poc Chuc, which is like a large and thin pork steak. Iot was excrllent! Kabah has warrior statues and you can climb to see them up close and see how they mutilated their faces to look more menacing to their enemies. Really, you cannot miss this tour!

Highly Recommend - This was a great experience of the Mayan culture and impact of the Yucatan peninsula. The views were breathtaking and beautiful. It honestly was not that extremely hot as many had said and there a decent breeze.

Kabah and Uxmal - It was well put together except for the timing. It is a very hot season in Yucatan and we arrived to the first visit around 10:00 am. By the time we visited Uxmal it was past noon and super hot. The tour itself was very informative with plenty time to take pictures and to get to know the Mayan Culture. The driver and the tour guide were very nice and accommodative. The lunch was excellent and the chocolate experience as well

Sites are great. Tour guide not so much. - Uxmal is amazing and totally worth going. Uxmal is far more expansive than Chichen Itza and has zero vendors inside making for a much more pleasant experience. The Chocolate History museum was likewise amazing. This is a bilingual tour. We had a small group, just my family and one other family. The other family was spanish speaking only. I speak enough Spanish to know that my family was getting a slightly longer winded explanation of things from the guide than the spanish speakers. The guide zipped us through Uxmal at a ridiculous pace and complained that the lazy americans were holding up the tour to the spanish speakers. Additionally, we went through the park so fast we had no time to review the informative signs next to most of the individual archeological sites/edifices, so I took pictures of them as we zipped past. I later found that they flatly contradicted some of the things the guide told us about the sites. The lunch was pleasant enough but didn't feel authentic enough to bother being included on the tour and I wish that some of these tours would just say to bring your own lunch. Bottom line: If I went to this region again in the future I would see these two sites on my own without the guide.

Good destinations, so-so tour - We enjoyed the tour, but it came off as a poor cousin to the Guias Yucatan tour we took a couple of days earlier. Claudia was friendly but struggled with English, and the van in which we traveled had seen better days. It wasn't made clear in advance that the cooler in the van was empty and that we needed to provide our own water. Uxmal, Kabah and the Choco-story were all enjoyable destinations, though, and lunch was surprisingly good.
