Great tour - We did the 3 day from Uyuni and finishing in San Pedro de Atacama. The vehicle and driver Angelo were very good and we felt safe at all times. The guide Robert was funny and informative and took good care of us. We opted for private rooms as we got a private bathroom but otherwise the rooms were the same standard as the shared accommodation. They were both fine considering the remote locations. Food was also good, no choice but they provided vegetarian options if booked ahead. The itinerary was excellent and we saw so much. Staying the 2nd night at the hot springs was a good idea as we didn’t need an early start on the last day. Would recommend to others.

Definitely recommend Red Planet - We did the 3 day shared accommodation tour. Amazing experience, would recommend red planet - Food was excellent (meat, veg & rice/pasta/quinoa for lunch & dinner) and there was really generous quantities of food too - Our guide (Carlos) was amazing, he explained everything to us and told us about the different formations - First night accommodation was really good too, they gave lots of blankets and had hot showers & electricity - Second night was a bit colder but still good (we rented sleeping bags which made a huge difference) and there was electricity until 11pm Overall amazing experience, red planet were really well organised and our guide Carlos was phenomenal

Best experience in Uyuni - Amazing tour to Uyuni and Atacama. Our amazing guide Ivan had so much knowledge, took pictures for us and even made us some snacks to enjoy the sunset on day 1. Day 2 was packed with so many amazing stops, from lamas to volcanoes to red lagoon. We also saw so many wild animals that it felt like a mini-safari. The food was good and the accomodations was also a positive surprise (because we slept in very off-beaten places). Highly reccomend Red Planet and Ivan if you are going to Uyuni and the Salt Flats! We chose to travel to Chile after the tour, and Ivan helped us with what he could on the border.

Great agency, great guide, great 3-day tour - The best tour company in Uyuni. I picked them off of friend’s recommendations, not least because of the many different agencies people at my hostel had used this was the only one where no one had gotten sick or had food poisoning. The tour exceeded all out expectations - Ivan was an excellent, knowledgeable and passionate guide; accommodations were better and warmer than we’d prepared for; the food was plentiful and good; most of all they packed a LOT into our three days and made the most of our time. Half our group was dropped at the Chile border with a prepaid ticket to San Pedro, the rest of us rode back to Uyuni. I recommend going out of your way to tour with Red Planet.

Great experience, unforgettable! We were well taken care of - The tour was great. Carlos was our guide, funny and full of knowledge, and made sure we were well taken care of. The drivers were awesome too - we were 2 Land Cruisers touring together. I loved that it was all English speakers on the tour since my Spanish is not good. The food was delicious and abundant. The salt flats were great, esp. at sunset. The lagunas on the 2nd day were amazing and all different. We saw so much wildlife! It was a lot of driving on the 2nd and 3rd days but totally worth it! Loved the geysers and the hot springs soaking. I'd definitely recommend this tour with Red Planet Expeditions! Thanks for the great photos and memories.

An unforgettable little trip - A wonderful trip throughout. Nice group, great comfort in the jeep, safe driver, knowledgeable guide who took us to the most amazing places, somewhat improvised and adapted due to weather, the sun and the fog build up. The hostels are basic, but totally fine as long as you don't expect luxury. Good vegan options for dinner. Had a lovely time. Also good communication and lots of information from Maria prior to the trip.

Wonderful experience! - It was a great experience, packed with different sights each day. I'm so glad I chose the 3-day tour, as it was so much more than Salt flats: Lagoons, deserts, fauna, geysers... I liked the food, and the salt hotels we stayed at were fun too. Gazing at the stars from the hot spring pools was majestic. Had luck getting a lovely company of co-travelers, which made a lot of driving just a breeze. The drivers were friendly and professional, Peter was a great guide.

Worst guide ever - Let me start off by saying that the trip is definitely worth it. The sights are incredible, almost magic at some points. I have no regrets going on this tour but rather regret the company/guide. The lady in the office was very nice, no bad things about her. But the tour guide, Dani, was just awful. From the beginning it seemed like he didn’t want to be with us; sighing the whole time, not wanting to interact with us, etc. At the first stop (train cemetery) he explained that at every stop, he first wanted to give a short briefing and we shouldn’t go off on our own immediately. Fair enough so we didn’t, but then at all the following stops he just said “we’re here, you have 30 mins” and then disappeared. Barely any explanation about the places. In the beginning he told us about the opportunity to take funny perspective pictures at the salt flats. We arrive there and boom, he’s gone. We had to find out ourselves that you have to pay people there to take pictures with the props. (It’s 10 BOB each for multiple pictures so that was fine.) At the next stop, Incahuasci Island, we confronted Dani about his attitude. After that he got a bit more involved but still explained the bare minimum about all the places we went to. His knowledge seemed incorrect too; at some point he explained we were at 4500m altitude, but the smart watch of one of the group members told otherwise (3500m). When confronted he just shrugged it off. The worst part was at the end of the tour when we crossed into Chile. Our passports didn’t get stamped when entering Bolivia (and we just found that out) so we had to pay a fine. The customs guy asked if our tour guide could come to explain fully in Spanish what was going on. I called Dani, he walks up clearly very annoyed and literally shouts out loud: “WHY ME??” Well maybe because you’re our tour guide and you’re supposed to assist us??? Disgusting behavior. Luckily, another tour guide, Jaime/James, was there to assist us. He is so sweet and funny, we wish he was our tour guide! We met him at the hot springs the night before and he is the absolute best! Last but not least, the morning we left from the hot springs (the last day) our driver, Esteban, got into a fight with one of the tour guides (not Dani). Esteban started the fight. His nose got busted and it was a very awkward situation when in the car, because he was clearly still upset but didn’t want to talk about it. I advise everyone to pick another tour agency with RELIABLE tour guides and drivers. This agency is definitely not worth the almost €200…
