Highlight of Bolivia, ignore the picky 1-star reviews - Fantastic scenery in a well organized trip. We got to see everything we wanted and started/ended on time. Our guide, Bismarck, had excellent English and knew a ton regarding the local geology, flora, and fauna. The transports (Toyota Landcruisers) were comfortable without issue (but it does happen! 25% chance a wheel goes flat), the food was delicious, and the accommodations were mostly good. Thank you to Raul for being a great driver. The last morning was a bit rough, waking up at 4 AM so we could drop people off at the Chile border to go to San Pedro. Overall a great trip though. A few people here are very picky with their 1-star reviews.. you are in the middle of the Bolivian desert..

Fantastic tour through all the different biomes de Uyuni region has to offer - Fantastic tour! I did the 3 day 2 nights in Salar de Uyuni from La Paz and everything went wonderfully. It started with the smooth booking process and the fact that I was allowed to postpone my tour by a day when I adjusted my planning. Then my bus from La Paz was organized as well, also went smoothly and was comfortable. I met my fellow travellers on and before getting on the bus and even was able to help a couple to book this tour super last minute. Also without problems. We were picked up a few hours after we arrived in Uyuni, but completely according to schedule. Our guide Marcia was fantastic. With great English, positive attitude, being able to answer all kinds of questions, good explanations and even extra explanations about star watching for instance. Our driver José was impeccable. Being able to drive perfectly over all these tough roads is no small task. He drove safely, but also very comfortably. The itinerary is probably similar to other tours, but still was great. We saw many different locations and biomes. Both sleeping locations were way more comfortable than some people online made them out to be. Despite the need of having to wake up early, I slept very well. The food was also fine, with one personal minus point, that I was missing some spices or salsa picante at times. The ingredients all had high quality though! All in all an amazing experience.

Amazing trip! - One of the best tours I have ever been on. We saw and did so much across the 3 days. Our tour guide Ronaldo was professional and organised. He made sure we had adequate amount of time at each place and that we moved on when needed, without it feeling rushed or pressured. His English was great, his knowledge of each place was incredible abd his love for Bolivia was lovely to see. Our drivers Raulacho and Santos porfidio did a great job of loading and unloading our stuff promptly and carefully. They were both safe and friendly drivers. The food and drink provided was good and there were opportunities to pick up extra snacks and drinks along the way. The first night accommodation was great and as expected, the 2nd night was a little more basic and cold, but extra blankets were offered and I rented a sleeping bag which did the job!

Amazing landscapes with excellent guide Ronaldo - We had a great time (3D/2N) with our guide Ronaldo! He speaks very good english and explains everything very well. Every night he told us what we could expect the next day. And he had a great sense of humor. The nature and variety of landscapes were amazing. The first hostel was really good with amazing hot shower. The second hostel was a bit less. It was very cold, but we could get extra blankets. And electricity went out in the night. There was a variety of food in the tour and all tasted well. Although the second hostel took a long time to prepare the food. I think the portions of the food could be a bit larger.

Incredible experience with Ronaldo tour guide y conductor Samuel. - I did the tour with Ronaldo tour guide y conductor Samuel. They were amazing. Really friendly and they did more than expected for us. Samuel drived really well so you wouldn't hit all the holes in the Road and Ronaldo knows a lot about the Salar de Uyuni and was really happy to give is knowledge on to us. His english is good so you understand everything. It was an amazing experience and we took some crazy pictures.

3 day / 2 night Salt Flat Tour - We booked a 3 day / 2 night salt flat tour through Find Local Trips, and Perla de Bolivia was the operator they used. Be aware there is a lot of time spent driving - there’s no other way to cover such large distances. We made lots of different stops and we saw fantastic things including lagoons, flamingos, & volcanoes. What we liked: • The accommodation was better than expected - hot showers and warm beds with blankets. • The jeeps were comfortable with good, safe drivers and heaters for cold mornings. • It was easy to transfer to San Pedro de Atacama instead of going back to Uyuni. What we didn’t like: • We couldn’t get a response to our questions over email, and had to visit the office in-person instead. • The food was ok, but we would suggest bringing some of your own snacks too. • Some of the stops felt a bit rushed, we would only have 5-10 minutes before we had to get back in the car. • Our only genuine complaint was when our guide suggested that if nobody was looking, we could leave the path to get close to the flamingos for a photo. We would rather that they promote responsible tourism so that the animals aren’t disturbed and places don’t get ruined!

Nice tour, mediocre execution - The scenery is magnificent and the trip is definitely worth it! On the other hand, we cannot recommend the Perla De Bolivia agency. The communication was bad from the beginning, the food little (at the neighboring tables there was more and a better choice). The driver was great and worked hard. The guide was completely superfluous. Little information, questions were annoying, photo stops were not made (except at the fixed program points). On the last day, he dropped the Laguna Verde for flimsy reasons. Because we would have arrived at the office too early without the program item, we were dumped in a desolate shopping center for 30 minutes.

Terrible Experience – Disorganized, Disrespectful, and Dishonest Tour Company - Our recent 3 day tour to Salar de Uyuni tour was an absolute disaster. The entire experience was marred by shocking disorganization, blatant unprofessionalism, and a total lack of respect for paying customers. We started late because our guide, Ronaldo, and the drivers couldn't be bothered to prepare properly. Further delays followed as they ran personal errands, wasting hours of our time and cutting into what should have been spent on the salt flats—the main reason we booked this tour (we didn't arrive to the salt flats until 3pm). The following day, the same pattern repeated: we were all ready at 7 a.m. as instructed, only to stand around for nearly an hour while Ronaldo and the drivers casually delayed us with no explanation, then mocked our frustration with comments about "Bolivian time." A further example of their disrespectful and inconsiderate behavior was at one stop, we were told to be back at the cars by 11:05 a.m., but when we returned on time, Ronaldo and the drivers were nowhere to be found. After waiting 10 minutes, Ronaldo finally emerged from the café, looked at us all standing there, then turned and went back inside. It was completely disrespectful and infuriating. They kept us waiting even longer, lingering and chatting inside while we stood around, only to be told the drivers "had to eat." Every other guest in the group had finished eating on time and returned as instructed, so it was clear they were taking their time without regard for us. This rude, unprofessional behavior showed just how little they valued our time or experience. On the final day, Ronaldo took money from each of us at the border for an unexplained "fee" (which we think he pocketed from himself), leaving us without our passports for ten minutes—a highly uncomfortable experience. Despite paying extra for a private room, we received the same accommodations as everyone else, with dirty facilities and no hot water, while the other group members hadn't paid the extra cost. To make matters worse, when we raised these issues, the company denied everything and defended Ronaldo and the drivers, despite several people in our group complaining about the same problems. Their response was dismissive and full of blatant lies, showing a complete lack of accountability. This was by far the worst tour we've experienced in South America, turning an experience we'd looked forward to into a source of regret. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, and I'm still waiting for meaningful response from the company.

Would not recommend - I got sick and was stuck in bed the day I was supposed to go to the tour. The company didn’t allow me to reschedule, and didn’t answer its customer support line.

The most disorganised tour ever - Do NOT book this tour. It felt like we were on the tour guide’s holiday. The first day all 17 members of the group were waiting for over 30 minutes for the (late) tour guide and drivers to show up. We also then had to make personal stops for the drivers on the way to the salt flats, such as to pick up laundry. The second day, we left the hostel 45 minutes after we were told we’d leave, and again all 17 members of the group were sat around waiting for the tour guide and drivers. Later that day, we stopped at a viewpoint and were told we had until 11.05 to take photos and then be back at the cars. At 11.05, all 17 members of the group were stood in the car park waiting. 20 minutes later the guide saunters out of the cafe, sees us all and heads back in. Another member of the group went in to ask what the hold up was, and the guide simply told her to “relax, as we were on Bolivian time” - as if we all hadn’t paid $190 to be there. Furthermore, we were assured this company was the safest, and yet there were no seatbelts in the cars that were provided. We booked through findmylocaltrips.com but this is the company they use. Save your money and book with another company.
