Train Cemetery - This adventure starts with meeting the group in our office in Uyuni where you can leave your luggage if you wish, then we will leave the town of Uyuni around 10:30 a.m. to visit the Uyuni train cemetery.
In this special and enigmatic place, travelers will find old wagons that were abandoned more than half a century ago in the desert.
Colchani - Afterward, you can enjoy Colchani (salt miners’ workshops), where you can see handicrafts made of salt and textile art made of llamas and alpacas. Then, visit “Ojos de Agua Salada”, where water bubbles through the salt plains, and a hotel made entirely of salt that is used as a museum nowadays.
Isla Incahuasi - Next, hike up to “Incahuasi Island” to see tall Cactus and rock formations made of petrified coral ( Make sure to take photographs from a different perspective).
Then we will enjoy lunch. Afterward, enjoy the unique experience of watching a beautiful sunset over the salt flats.
Finally, around 7:00 pm we will arrive at our hostel for dinner and rest in shared rooms (double rooms or triple rooms).
LAKES AND VOLCANOS
Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna - Later, we will enjoy the Cañapa, the Hedionda, and the Chiarcota lagoons where flamingos can be seen and many other kinds of animals.
Finally, on the day, we will enter “Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve” (NATIONAL PARK), visit the Siloli Desert at 4550m (the highest and driest in the world), take a photo next to the “rock tree” (a lava rock formation).
Before reaching the final destination, we will stop at the viewpoint next to the Laguna Colorada to see more pink flamingos in their natural habitat and admire this intense red lake. in the end, we will spend the night in a shared family accommodation in Huayllajara.
THE HOT SPRINGS SURROUNDED BY GEYSERS
Geiser Sol de la Manana - Weak up early to start around 5:00 a.m. to visit the “Sol de Mañana” Geyser (5,000m) and walk close to fumaroles and steaming craters filled with boiling pots of mud at 160-210 Cº. and then have the chance to take a bath in an open-air Hot Springs at 32 °C water. then the Dali Desert, and the Green Lagoon (toxic copper water at the foot of the big Licancabur volcano at 6000m, a few kilometers from the Bolivia-Chile border). At long last, we return to Uyuni enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way and having lunch at a picnic by the roadside. On the way, we will pass through Rock Valley, the Alota settlement, and the small town of San Cristóbal, where you can see a baroque church and colonial paintings.
