Local experience in Tashkent with wonderful guides! - Great experience in Tashkent to learn about local crafts! Julia and Yusuf were the most kind and fun guides! They made us feel immediately welcome and they taught us about the culture of Uzbekistan and showed us all the different kinds of crafts. We saw masters at work and Julia and Yusuf made it a comfortable and fun experience. Making the pottery was so excellent and the potter was helpful to make sure we ended up with a beautiful finished product. I would love to do more tours with these two! Especially the metro and food one! Thank you for a beautiful day with lovely photos to remember it by!

The experience felt authentic and enriching. The pottery masterclass was a standout, offering a hands-on experience to create our own ceramic pieces with the guidance of skilled artisans. Everything is a unique experience! - I have some experience in knitting and other handicrafts, but very little embroidery experience, and I was really looking forward to learning about traditional embroidery this time. First of all, Susani embroidery is very difficult. He teaches me persistently, but it is not a technique that I can master immediately. That's why I've experienced firsthand how wonderful this traditional craft is. I had a very good time not only because I was able to learn more about the embroidery class but also various other traditional techniques and history. If you are in Japan and would like to join this tour, here is some advice. Meals are shared directly with the guide on one plate. That's the traditional style, so there's no plate. Bear in mind that there are cultural differences, as some Japanese people are not good at eating directly from the same plate as others even before COVID-19. If that is not possible, I think it is better to consult beforehand. I definitely recommend the experience itself because the restaurant is a tourist-free place and it's very good and you can see the making of profiles up close. I don't want people to think negatively about it in any way, but I thought that there must be people who care about it, so I dared to write it.

A Day in the Heart of Uzbek Craft - The afternoon began with an expertly guided deep dive into Uzbekistan's rich artistic heritage. Our guide, Malika, brought centuries of tradition to life through engaging storytelling and demonstrations. The way our guide wove together historical facts with personal family stories made everything feel intimate and authentic. Seeing actual silk cocoons and learning about local superstitions added unexpected depth to the experience.

The best thing in Tashkent - We had a thoroughly enjoyable and informative experience with Yusuf and Julie! The tour was one of the best things that we have done on our travels and it is a very unique experience. They had arranged visits to a range of different artisans and organised a very delicious, traditional lunch. We were given authentic insights into Uzbek culture, crafts and food. The whole tour felt very relaxed! We were able to ask lots of questions about all aspects of Uzbek life (and Polish)! The pottery masterclass was a particular highlight and will be something that we will remember for a long time. Despite being beginners, we were all able to produce our very own pots! Thank you to Yusuf for the haggling help too in the shops! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is visiting Tashkent - an amazing experience!
