WONDERFUL TOUR!! Would highly recommend. - What a tour! We had Joseph as our tour guide and what a masterful understanding of the history of this site and the family history. He was very well versed in not only the US history of this territory but also the French history which originally settled this part of Louisiana, up to the 21st century . The history he presented was direct with powerful explanations of the family fortunes and misgivings. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful and the powerful words that were spoken transported me in time . This was reality brought to life at its best. Do visit.

Beautiful place - It's a beautiful place. The comments and guided tour given by the current owner of the premises are of immense interest. To see if we want to learn more about the history of slavery in the United States.

Not to be missed!!! - Not to be missed. Visit made by Joseph, a passionate and expert on the history of Laura Plantation who transported us during this sad time. We left with Laura's book in French so very happy to know even more about this plantation. Thanks again!

Great guided tour. - Great guided tour in French! We learned a lot about the history of this family and home. The guide was very friendly and answered all questions and gave us plenty of time to look at the place. The house is colorful and beautiful but the interior is renovated. We were able to visit old houses, but smaller.

Great site- Mediocre tour - This is an important site and well maintained. The guide we had was condescending, rehearsed and immature which significantly diluted the experience .. the site is worth visiting but the information unfortunately seems to be delivered haphazardly depending on the experience of your guide.
