Best Friends Time - This was such an experience. Parts of it made me cry and our guide was 100 percent the best. I forgot her name but I think it started with a K. Please give her an award, she made that tour so special for me. Thank you all so much for what you do.

Just great!! - Our guide Pam was absolutely amazing. Detailed, informative, funny but most importantly she ensured that the solemnty of these grounds were respected , and that we all understood that while ,what had taken place here yes was history, but more importantly ,that each figure was a real person, with feelings and deserved to be known . They existed . We left the tour thrilled, informed and humbled .

A must see - The whole trip, from our tour driver Wanda to the actual tour. Walking onto the property, you can envision what life looked like back then to an extent.

Oak Valley Virginia Oaks - I enjoyed the tour because it part self led and then a guided tour through the big house added additional information. I was able to go and see the things that interested me without being rushed or pressured. Went for the trees and they did not disappoint!

Laura Plantation - Driver was a little bit of a speed demon when it came to driving. Would take turns very sharply and quickly. The Laura Plantation was beautiful.

Driver not nice - 8 understand the driver is not a tour guide. But there were a few things not acceptable. 1st he picked me up at the corner honking not in front of the hotel. He didn't get out of the bus. Then he barely spoke. No instruccions at all. Then when he arrived he pointed at some couple to get out and others to wait. Instead of saying we have arrived at Oak Alley. Then i moved a few feet to throw some garbage he was calling me to stay put. Then after i did not get the instructions for pick up he instead of clarifying his answer was "you are not listening" finally when we came back he even noved the bus while we were still standing. He is not running a school bus. Not making me a favor. I paid for it. He should be nicer.

Disappointing Experience with Southern Style Tours!!!! - Combo tour was done. I recently had the opportunity to embark on a tour with Southern Style Tours, hoping for an enjoyable and memorable experience Given that it was my first time in New Orleans and a birthday celebration. However, my encounter left me and my group of 7 deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. Our City Tour Experience: During the city tour, although the driver was knowledgeable and friendly, his efforts could not overturn the negative experience. We were taken aback by the deplorable condition of the bus. To my dismay, rainwater seeped through both the roof and windows of our vehicle, leaving puddles of water on the seats and wet from the water that had poured in. Instead of being able to fully immerse ourselves in exploring this vibrant city's landmarks and attractions, I found myself constantly dodging droplets from above and seeping the window onto the seats. This not only dampened my spirits but also hindered any chance at capturing beautiful photos or truly appreciating what we were meant to see. Instead, I captured the puddle filled seat and water running through the window. Our Plantation Tour Experience: The following day brought another disheartening episode during our plantation tour excursion - one that involved extreme discomfort due to inadequate air conditioning facilities onboard. As temperatures soared outside well into triple digits, it became apparent that there was no respite from sweltering heat within those confines. Despite raising concerns about these unbearable conditions with our driver before departure, their response fell far short of satisfactory expectations; they simply brushed off our complaints by assuring us that once we hit highway speeds things would cool down naturally – a promise never fulfilled throughout the entire journey. As each minute passed inside that stifling hotbox on wheels without even a hint of ventilation relief provided by functional air conditioning units, I watched as every single passenger emerged drenched in sweat upon reaching their destination. The uncomfortable ride overshadowed any enjoyment derived from visiting such historically significant sites, and instead turned it into an ordeal none could forget easily. It would not have surprised me if one of the passengers had suffered a heat stroke. In hopes for some resolution after enduring such unpleasant experiences, I reached out directly to Southern Style Tours. Unfortunately, the company's response was nothing short of disappointing and insultingly inadequate. They offered a mere $25 refund out of the $110 we had paid for our group of 7 passengers each. This paltry compensation failed to reflect the true extent of suffering sustained by all those who participated in the trip. It left us feeling undervalued as customers and neglected in our expectations for good service and satisfaction. My overall impression is one filled with deep disappointment. Southern Style Tours had promised an exciting and exhilarating experience, but instead delivered nothing but frustration, distress, and regret. I cannot recommend this company based on my own unfortunate encounter. Those seeking to relish their travels with comfort and reliability should look elsewhere, because Southern Style Tours fell far short of fulfilling even basic expectations. As consumers, we deserve better than what we were given, and it is highly important that other potential tourists are made aware of these discrepancies before making any decisions about booking a tour with them.
