Great Tour! - I recently took a combined plantation and swamp tour, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip. The plantation tour was both informative and moving—our guide did an excellent job of presenting the complex and often painful history with respect and depth. The grounds were beautiful, and walking through the historic buildings gave me a real sense of life during that era, from both the grandeur of the main house to the sobering stories of those who lived and worked there under enslavement. The swamp tour was equally unforgettable. Cruising through the moss-draped cypress trees, we spotted alligators, herons, and even a racoon! Our swamp guide was incredibly knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor and a clear passion for the environment. It felt like stepping into another world—peaceful, wild, and full of life. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience both the natural beauty and the historical depth of the region. It was educational, eye-opening, and absolutely worth it.

Worth your time $ Money - Amy at Oak Alley was wonderful! Presley was a nice touch learning to take Amy’s role one day. The history was fascinating. Beautiful Plantation with rich history. Captain Ernie was hilarious and informative all at the same time. LOVED that we were able to see Aligators in the real habitat. We are from Arizona and have only experienced them in cages at the zoo! Bucket List item checked. The Bayou was serene, beautiful, captivating. The trees & wildlife were amazing. Thank you Amy(Oak Alley) & Ernie(Boat Tours) for a great day!!

Tour 4/25 - There wasn't enough time between the mansion tour and catching the bus at 12:15 for the swamp tour. Our bus drivers were wonderful and our mansion guide was very knowledgeable.

Pick up locations. - Tour was great. Had a wonderful time. Only issue was I provided pick up address and was expecting to be picked up in front of the hotel. They were only picking up on the main street but was not informed about that. They did call me and was finally picked up. Maybe having several designated pick up locations would be helpful.

Happy customer - The Bayou tour was amazing. The guide was so knowledgeable and fun even letting us hold a baby gator. Oak Valley was a very nice plantation and great bourbon drink with a praline cookie. The bus ride was great too. Overall very happy.

Long but Informative, Interesting Day - I booked a different tour of a different plantation but was informed that the tour I booked had been canceled. I was rebooked on this tour. The bus was quite late in picking us up. We got picked up at about 11:40. The driver was lovely. He did not talk during the ride but drove efficiently and well. The plantation is about an hour or so from the city. We arrived at 12:30 and had 2 hours to get a quick bite, do a self-guided tour through the slave quarters, and a docent-led tour of the Big House. The plantation is beautiful and disturbing. I found the self-guided to be very informative. I especially appreciated the listed names of the enslaved. The Big House tour was led by a docent who was very knowledgeable. After the plantation tour, it was another 90-minute drive to the swamp tour. The swamp tour itself was okay. Our captain made some sexist and inappropriate jokes, which detracted from my enjoyment of the tour (eg, comparing alligators to women because they’re fickle; telling us that the commercial shrimp boat captains come home periodically for a “pickle tickle”). We saw several alligators and a bald eagle. One alligator approached our boat and seemed borderline tame, allowing our boat captain to touch him and feed him marshmallows. All in all, it was a day well-spent.

Terrible not worth the price - Too long of bus ride not enough time with tour guide or history given hurried people through just trying to sell gift shop items and $18 hamburgers

Crap organisation - Crap organisation. Pickup was late, had to change bus, and then spent an age before the tour had even started sitting on a cramped bus in the city centre while the driver took payment for every single party over the radio without having any information about what they had previously paid or deposited so having to manually check with each person. For how much money it was I would expect better. Avoid!
