great experience - Even though the day that we took this cruise was a bit rainy and foggy at times we still had a great experience. The cruise ship had plenty of room for everyone to sit and also plenty of room on the decks for everyone to view. We only eat kosher so we were not able to participate in the meals. However, the staff on board were very helpful in finding the food items that did meet our standards & even offered to prep them in a way that was acceptable to us. The scenery is beautiful and the company's claim of completely calm, no seasickness, water is right on target. We saw plenty of wildlife but no whales. The captain always gave plenty of time for all of us to take our photos. We chose to do the Meares glacier tour rather than Columbia glacier because we wanted to make sure that we could get as close as possible to the glacier. We sure got close! The captain was skilled in navigating the floating ice and keeping the ship steady while we viewed the glacier. We were fortunate to see and hear some nice calving. The crew actually allowed me to hold the huge chunk of ice they pulled from the water! What an experience! It was one of the highlights of our Alaska trip.

A Magical Meares Adventure - Our visit to the Meares Glacier was extraordinary and magical. Throughout the trip, our captain slowed the boat for wildlife sightings, including otters, Stellar sea lions, porpoises, and harbor seals on ice floes. We had ample time at Meares Glacier, which is one of the few glaciers in Alaska that is not retreating. Our meals and snacks were delicious--we were well cared for by the crew. The next time I'm in Valdez, I will defiinitely take this tour again.

Wonderful experience! - The experience was amazing. Staff and crew were extremely helpful and friendly. The views were beautiful and the wildlife was plentiful and enjoyable. The captain was very informative and he explained everything along the way including historical events. I would highly recommend this company and this event for any visitors in the Valdez area.

A Summer day to remember - After having been to Valdez 8 times already in Winter time, I wanted to experience Valdez during Summer time.
Of course I had to do the Meares Glacier Excursion with Stan Stephens Glacier and Wildlife Cruises.
The weather on August 5, 2024 was fabulous. So was the excursion.
Apart from the impressive Meares Glacier and the scenery during the cruise, wildlife viewing was fantastic. Amongst others, we saw Orcas, Humpback Whales, Bald Eagles, Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Puffins and on 2 occasions we had Porpoises accompanying the boat at high speed.
What a da - a day which I will always remember!
Thanks a lot to the team of Stan Stephens Glacier and Wildlife Cruises.

The beauty of the Valdez Sea - The experience of spending a day hiking in the bays of the Valdez Sea was very satisfying. The landscapes of a day of mists from the boat, very warm, having breakfast, being able to move throughout the boat, bathrooms very well conditioned, free drinks all the way. And then there is the half hour in front of the imposing glacier and the sighting of fauna and seabirds. We always felt safe along the way, which after other experiences in other parts of the world was to be appreciated. We loved it.

Nice trip in Valdez. Almost a must do. - It was a very good option for seeing Prince William Sound, wildlife, and Meares Glacier. The weather was ok, but some fog and clouds. The crew was really good and the Captain, Amanda, was very informative and willing to go off track to see more wildlife. The boat Valdez Spirit was very comfortable and had clean restrooms. It was not crowded. They serve free coffee, tea, water, and lemonade. You get a bagel in morning and a decent lunch after the glacier stop. We were out 8 hours.

A wonderful glacier cruise with everything we'd hoped for. - The cruise delivered everything it promised. Magnificent sights, a variety of marine animals were. Seen, as well as puffins. The crew were very pleasant and always willing to answer questions. I very highly recommend this cruise.

Top of the must do list. - Made our trip to Valdez memorable. A must do. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
The scenery excellent and we lots of sea lions, sea otters, whales. The puffins were out and about as well as eagles.
The main event- the glacier was breath taking.
Highly recommended this excursion & company.

The Views! - It was a beautiful sunny day and the views were amazing! We took tons of photos and video. Our captain was super informative throughout the cruise. Only reason for not a 5 star is, for what you pay, the lunch was just ok. Kind of like a hospital meal. All in all I would recommend this trip!
