Albufera embodies natural beauty, culinary delights, bird-watching activities, cultural richness, and historical essence. We are set to explore this aquatic terrain today, where acclaimed Valencian rice used in the world-renowned dish, paella, is cultivated. Alongside, we’ll take in the local wildlife and plant-life. This Park, established in 1986, draws countless visitors annually.
As part of our journey, we’ll stop by at the bird observatory, offering opportunities (dependent on the season) to sight flamingos, herons, storks, and various duck species.
Subsequently, you will gain insights into rice cultivation, local customs, and traditions through a boat tour across the lagoon and nearby rice paddy fields. We will come across typical ‘Barracas’ (buildings used by local farmers) and conclude our experience with a shared meal featuring the most celebrated dish in Valencia and Spain, Paella (meal is included).
