A must visit beautiful place. - I traveled to Valencia with my daughter and we scheduled the day trip to Peñíscola with Valencia Forever. Our tour operator was Marcela, and we couldn’t have gotten a more knowledgeable, friendly and wonderful person to take us to this breathtaking place. Marcela picked us up at our Airbnb directly as planned. She went far and beyond on explaining us about some areas we were driving through. When we got to Peñíscola, we had some free time to have breakfast. Then, we started the tour going around some areas in town, the main area in front of the beach, then headed up to the castle. We got so much information about the town, the castle, the Knights Templar, Pope Benedict the XIII and his library. We also had the option to visit the garden area. After this, we had free time to visit some areas of our own interest, having enough time to enjoy a good meal. The free time given to us was more than enough. After our meal, we still had some time to sit at a bar to have some refreshing drinks before heading back to the van to get back to Valencia. Thank you Marcela for such a wonderful tour and driving us safely!

Beautiful city that is Peñiscola, great outing to do! - A personalized visit is always more interesting. There were six of us plus the guide/driver. The guide was very interesting, knew his subject and very attentive to each person. The city was really pretty and interesting. I don't speak much English and a little Spanish. Too bad there is no visit in French. But Miguel still managed to interest me in the castle and the whole visit. I recommend this visit.

Fun Day Trip - Marcela was a great tour guide and we really enjoyed the balance of a guided tour and free time. Peniscola was a very cute beach town - and it was the perfect time of year to visit before it was overrun with tourists. It has a ton of restaurants and small shops. It was quite hilly but it was beautiful. While the castle was closed, we took a short boat ride and saw the castle and coast from the water.

Tour to whet your appetite of the rich regional history - I had a good day today. The transport was comfortable and Marcella drove us there and back safe and sound. There was so much history linked up with the castle, and she told us a little about it, and a part of me wondered if she could have said more. We had good amount of time to leisurely enjoy a lovely lunch on our own, before meeting back up with the group to head back to Valencia: although being able to stay one more hour and sun-bathe at the beaches would've been a nice way to end the day!

Our guide Marcela was very knowledgeable around the region and the history of the castle. The day was very nice. I wished we could stay longer walking around the castle and enjoy the beach. We had to head back to the car at 3pm.
