A true valencian experience…what a treat!, - We wanted to learn how to cook paella and after looking at other options decided on ‘Every Day is Sunday’. So glad we did , what an amazing experience. Jose clearly knows his stuff and is passionate about what he does. We made sangria, tapas (octopus and valencian bruschetta), valencian paella and were treated to lots of local treats as well. All were to die for and we ate our body weight in delicious valencian food. At then end Jose gave us his hand made recipe booklet as a souvenir. So much better than a soulless stainless steel kitchen with 20 other people. An absolute treat and the best day of our cruise.

Highlight of our time in Valencia! - **SPOILER ALERT - IT WAS WONDERFUL AND WE ATE WELL** What a wonderful experience we had with Jose, in his home and in his kitchen. Jose did a phenominal job of making the three of us feel as if we were at home. He was warm, inviting, funny, and provided a memorable experience we won't soon forget. We made sangria, tapas, and a delicious paella.... and devoured everything! He took his time with us. We never felt rushed. It was relaxed, engaging, and again he was the perfect host and teacher. Highly recommend this event with Jose.

Highlight of our trip - Jose was a wonderful host and chef. The food was outstanding as well as the Sangria. Jose was great with our 3 year old son and included him in the meal preparation. We enjoyed learning about Spain while cooking the paella. The class was a highlight of our vacation.

Best second Sunday! - Excellent location, close to Torres del Serrano. José made us feel very welcome in his kitchen and the program was well planned, with specific questions and options ahead of time. I have made paellas before but this experience made clear several simple steps to make paella much better. His sangría recipe is also outstanding. We made a delicious paella Valenciana. José is a very experienced chef and a good clear teacher in both English and Spanish. One of our best travel experiences.

Chef José—the king of the kitchen! - José is very professional and very knowledgeable about gastronomy. We sat around his kitchen table while he prepared the food, explaining the steps and theory of the process very clearly and methodically. He treated us like we were family. I look forward to my next experience with him.

A Total Experience! - We were warmly welcomed into José's kitchen in his apartment! True to Valencian tradition, we were immediately treated to an aperitif with some insightful explanations. Then, the Sangria was prepared using a recipe we had never seen before. It was absolutely delicious! The appetizers were a delight for the taste buds—wonderful octopus and tasty sardines. And then, the Paella experience began!!! We were drawn into the preparation of the best paella ever, the traditional Valencian kind, with all its vibrant aromas and colors. It was fantastic! As if that wasn't enough, we were also treated to dessert, coffee, and a liqueur! We had an amazing afternoon! Now, we face the challenging task of trying to recreate this ourselves, but we know it will never be as perfect as José’s! We won't share any photos to keep the surprise intact.

Highly recommend!!! Great small group cooking class. - Jose was so nice and taught us so much from Spanish culture to cuisine. We met at a popular museum in Valencia and walked to his apartment all together. It was just a fun experience and my friends and I are so glad we were able to do this. I’d recommend this other a big class any day. It was just the four of us and made the experience so much better.

Fantastic paella cooking experience - Fantastic experience. Not only did we get hands on cooking with the paella and tapas, but Jose explained the history of the region and the food. Very personable and friendly, I would love to hang out with him anytime. Great for the whole family, and he even got the kids to help make the tapas.

Must Do!! - Jose provided a wonderful, personal experience for our group. We learned so much history and culture, tried new flavors and walked away feeling confident enough to try making our own paella back in the states. We stumbled across this class based on availability and I couldn’t recommend it more! Jose exceeded our expectations in every way!

Great day in Valencia. - This was such a fun experience. The sangria, the tapas and the paella were all wonderful and we learned so much about the cooking techniques and Jose had a lot of great tips. A relaxing departure from many days of back to back sightseeing. Our group of four throughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend.
