Highlights
  • Museo del Gremio de Artistas Falleros - We are visiting the “Museo of Artista Fallero” which shows a collection of pardoned dolls (those not to be burnt) by the Guild of Artists. There are also original sketches of fallas; models; a vast collection of photos of fallas and much more.
    NOTE: There are two Fallas Museums in Valencia and they should not be confused. The Museo Fallero where you can see the pardoned dolls from the last 80 years chosen by the public. We are not visiting this one.
  • Bar Museo - Then, we´ll stop at the Fallero Artist Museum restaurant to taste the typical Valencian “esmorsaret”, a culinary tradition that includes a “bocadillo” (Spanish sandwich) some snacks, a drink and a “cremaet” (coffee with rum prepared following a specific ritual).
  • Ciutat Fallera - You´ll have the unique opportunity to visit the workshop of one of the most seasoned and award-winning professionals of las fallas where you´ll learn about the whole process from early stages of being contracted by the fallero clubs to the final day of assembling all parts and displaying the monument in the street.

This is a one-of-a-kind encounter designed to showcase and introduce visitors to the astonishing art and extensive craftsmanship of fallero artists, the creators of ‘fallas’, a form of fleeting art. You’ll get the chance to converse with one of the most experienced and prize-winning fallero artist, who will share the complete process, from being hired by the fallero clubs to the ultimate day of putting together and publicly displaying the monument.

Additionally, you’ll get to sample the traditional ‘esmorsaret’ of Valencia (a mid-morning meal or snack) consisting of a sandwich, peanuts, olives, a beverage, and a ‘cremaet’ (a coffee and rum blend following a specific ritual).

We’ll tour the Fallero Artist Museum where you can view a film about the evolution of fallas creation throughout history, take pleasure in an exhibition of ‘ninots’ (spared dolls) by the Guild of Artists, and check out posters, photographs and much more.

Take bus number 28 from Játiva Street opposite the North Train Station and get off the bus at the last stop in Ciudad Fallera. The Museum of Fallero Artist is a few steps from the bus stop. I´ll be waiting for you at the entrance of the museum. Otherwise you can also go by car, taxi or bicycle.
