A must-do in Valencia -- highlight of my trip - The experience totally exceeded my expectations and was the highlight of my trip. Juanjo and Dani did an amazing job making me fall in love with cooking paella. As an experienced traveler who has done cooking classes in different cities before, I chose this particular experience because it is one of the few that includes a tour of the central market to pick up fresh ingredients for our paellas. This unique feature really stood out to me. In a group of nine people, we started with a lovely bonus tour around Valencia’s city center. Then, we visited the Central Market, where we got an introduction to local products and traditions. Afterward, we cooked paellas under the guidance of a professional chef. While cooking, we enjoyed tapas (cheese, olives, and canapés) and wine, which made the whole experience even more fun. At the very end, we sat down for a big lunch, tasting the paellas we made along with local wine. The entire experience lasted five hours and was absolutely the highlight of my trip—a perfect combination of great food, learning new skills, and having good chats with wonderful people. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Valencia. It is such a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture and cuisine.

Must do in Valencia!! - Simply put, the tour was great! I think it would be impossible to improve. We had our 8 and 12 year old girls with us and they loved it too. The tour through the city was very interesting as we hadn’t done a city tour before.

Fantastic, delicious and fun! - We were looking for a fun, delicious and educational experience and we were extremely satisfied! Daniel was a wonderful chef / instructor and he was joined by a very helpful and friendly assistant. Our family made both the traditional and seafood paella dishes and we also enjoyed all the other yummy appetizers and beverages served before, during and after the meal. Thank you for a fantastic evening!

Cannot Visit Valencia Without Learning HOW to Cook YOUR own Paella but the BEST Local Chefs! - If you're visiting Valencia, the birthplace of paella, this cooking class is an absolute must! More than just a meal, it’s an immersive cultural experience that gives you a true taste of Valencian tradition. The experience begins with a tour of the iconic Mercado Central de Valencia, one of Europe’s most stunning markets. Walking through its vibrant stalls filled with the freshest seafood, local produce, and aromatic spices is a feast for the senses. With the guidance of our hosts, we handpicked the finest ingredients for our paella, learning about their importance and the cultural significance of each choice. This stop at the Mercado Central was a highlight, adding authenticity and a special charm to the day. Back in the kitchen, the Juanjo and Dani (chefs) expertly guided us through the process of making paella from scratch. Whether you're a seasoned cook or a kitchen novice, the step-by-step instructions were engaging, fun, and easy to follow. They shared invaluable tips, from choosing the right rice to mastering the perfect sofrito. The experience concluded with a communal feast, where we savored our creations alongside local wine and great conversation. It was the perfect way to celebrate the fruits of our labor and soak in Valencia's warm, welcoming spirit. This is more than a cooking class—it's a journey into Valencian culture that you won’t soon forget. The combination of the Mercado Central visit and the hands-on cooking experience makes it an activity you simply can’t miss! Highly recommended for foodies, culture lovers, and anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in Valencia! Thank you Juanjo and Dani!
