Excellent tour, beautiful city Peñíscola is not to be missed! - Visiting Peñíscola was an unforgettable experience, as it’s one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. The large castle complex offers plenty to explore, and the charming white buildings with blue windows below the castle reminded me of the Greek islands. The 360-degree panoramic views of the sea and the city are absolutely stunning. This is undoubtedly the most underrated town I've ever visited. However, note that most information boards are in Spanish and Catalan only, as they primarily see Spanish national tourists. Additionally, the steep terrain makes it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. While there are some Game of Thrones filming locations, the tour isn’t overly focused on them like Dubrovnik tours. Our guide, Miguel, was excellent, providing rich historical context beyond just the show's filming spots. Overall, this tour and town are a must-visit and come highly recommended!

Une belle visite que je recommande à 100% - Il faut aimer l’histoire et/ou Games of Thrones. Sérieusement, je ne suis pas férue d’histoire et encore moins de ces films, mais j’ai adoré cette visite. Nous étions un petit groupe, 6 visiteurs plus le guide chauffeur qui parlait espagnol et anglais. La route est très belle pour s’y rendre. Vu le petit groupe, c’est pus facile de poser des questions sur ce qu’on voit en chemin. Rendus à Peniscola, marcher dans le village et monter jusqu’au château est un régal pour les yeux et la tête. En bord de mer, c’est vraiment magnifique. La visite du château est intéressante. Même si l’histoire n’est pas ma tasse de thé, j’y ai appris beaucoup. Ça explique beaucoup de choses concernant les guerres espagnoles avec les autres peuples et pourquoi on voit beaucoup de lieux à tendances arabes ou autres. Le guide nous parle de la série de films, images à l’appui. Le groupe est allé dîner tous ensemble sur une terrasse où on nous a servi d’excellents plats, poissons et fruits de mer, tous aussi esthétiques que délicieux. Le seul point négatif de cette visite était un américain qui détestait les canadiens en général, encore plus les québécois. Une visite que je recommande.

Must do! - Besides the town being incredibly gorgeous, Miguel was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had on a tour. He was beyond accommodating, very knowledgeable. Like how he told us which pieces in the castle were refurbished, replicas, when he was showing us the Game of Thrones examples, he played the music in the full scene. He went above and beyond the entire entire time. I had recommended this tour specifically because of the tour guide. Worth it. A must do! April was great weather for walking, not too crowded or hot.

Great Tour with an Amazing Guide - This was a fun adventure through the Game of Thrones City of Meereen, with a delicious local lunch. Miguel is an amazing guide, and the castle is a sight to behold - not to mention the great sea views as you look out from your kingdom. Can't wait to get home and re-watch Game of Thrones to compare scenes to the pictures I took in the exact same locations. Will definitely do this tour again. Highly recommend.

Peniscola and Vilafames - Two very beautiful towns with a lot of history and culture, a very entertaining tour and a very good guide.

Nice to have a driver to Peniscola. - It was nice to have Miguel drive us out to Peniscola. We imagine the entire area is rich with history, culture, and fun stories. It is not clear that Miguel knew all of that, and his limited English made it difficult to communicate. We expected commentary as we drove out and back about the flora, and castles on the hillside.

Glorified driving service - Peniscola itself is fantastic and the organisers are nice - often stopping to take photos for guests. Unfortunately, this is hardly a tour, and certainly not a game of thrones tour. There is next to no information conveyed about game of thrones - perhaps two short stops with no reference to the relevant scenes. It was doubtful whether the guide had actually seen the show. More alarmingly, beyond an opening monologue, there is no further historical information conveyed about Peniscola. The guide’s primary strategy is to point at the few signs that are in English and say ‘read that’. Finally, the tickets include access to a beautiful garden with excellent views, however this was not mentioned by our guide so all of our group missed out on it. Only use this glorified driving service if you are unable to find another way to get to Peniscola.
