My First Paella - We have set out to teach you how to cook one of the most international dishes, the Valencian Paella. Rice is its main ingredient, followed by chicken, rabbit and vegetables.
We will meet in our kitchen. We will start with a sangria workshop that we will accompany with some delicious freshly cooked tapas and drinks. Then we will divide into groups and start with the paella workshop. We will discover the necessary ingredients to cook an authentic Valencian paella (fresh ingredients bought in the Ruzafa market).
Our chef will explain step by step all the secrets of a good paella and you will be the one who cooks the paella. While we cook we will learn a little more about the customs and culture of the Valencians.
Once finished we will sit down to taste it. We will accompany the paella with a Valencian tomato salad, Valencia wines, seasonal fruit, typical Valencian sponge cake, sweet wine and coffee.

Although the experience... - Although the experience is likely designed for adults, the chefs included my children 7-16 into the cooking activities. A fun and educational experience all around.

Great experience - highly recommend! - We had a great night making paella and drinking sangria! Our hosts were warm and friendly and very informative. They involved everyone in the cooking process and we ended up with a very delicious paella. It was a great way to spend the evening!

Perfect for a rainy day - This was such a fun class to take while on a trip to Valencia. It was a great way to learn about a bit of the history of the dish and meet new people. Our hosts made every minute so fun. The food was so good. It was a perfect way to spend a rainy day.

Definitely do this if you want to have a blast - Absolutely amazing experience, both instructors were full of energy and were very fun people (were cracking jokes with my friends and I the entire time). Sangria is great (bottomless) and the paella was a good-sized portion. The tapas at the beginning were also phenomenal, some of the best muscles I've had during my time in Spain. If you're looking for a fun way to make/eat dinner one night in Valencia I would highly recommend the 5:00 time slot for the class!
