Great solo traveler activity! - I love cooking but had never done a group cooking class before - and it was awesome! Very fun, engaging, and informative. The instructor chefs were incredibly nice, attentive, light hearted and friendly. I was there solo and the nature of the class enabled me to meet some people early during sangria and tapas, and the collaborative cooking experience made us friends quickly. As a participant, you can be as involved or passive as you wish. Id definitely do it again!

Dinner and an activity in one! - A group of 4 of us joined the evening tapas and paella cooking class. We had a brilliant time. It was fun, informative and very filling! José and Joan entertained us brilliantly, while working non stop to keep the cooking on track and the kitchen spotlessly clean. We didn’t have to do any clearing up! There was a sangria and tapas welcome with some interesting facts before we actually started cooking. All the way through the making of the paella, we were given interesting info about why we were doing things a certain way, and how and when Valencians eat this meal. Once the paellas were ready we were seated at a nicely laid table to enjoy the results of our efforts. Dessert, a digestif and coffee were also offered afterwards. A great way to spend the evening. An activity and dinner out all rolled into one. Great value. Highly recommend.

Paella pan is called a Paella?! - The class itself is very engaging from the start. They taught us how to make a sangria and also the paella. What I liked most about the class is the background info on how the paella was made, why the ingredients used were necessary and tips on making it ourselves. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting. Got to meet amazing people and share an experience with everyone as well!!

Great fun and a tangible takeaway from our Valencia trip. - This was a fun evening learning about and making paella. The staff made what could've been a sterile event in to a thrilling three hours. There was plenty of drinks, tapas and finally a fab paella. And dessert and more drinks. I'd have gone for 4.8/5 but there were no fractions available. The evening lost 0.2 because we found it difficult to see some of the time and some people got themselves involved in the cooking/prepping at the expense of others, so possibly 12 was too large a group.
