Mayan bees - This was a very cool and interesting tour. We learned a lot about the local bees. Eduardo was very informative and a fun guide. As a beekeeper in California, I was excited for this tour and it did not disappoint. We loved the whole experience and highly recommend.

Highly Recommend - Two of us took a 30-minute walk from El Centro to this location on a Sunday afternoon. The tour is as described. Insect repellent recommended - it is a wooded area - and they sell a delightful effective one there. Our guides were knowledgeable, engaging, and responsive to questions. We were led into a fascinating “dry cenote” where many bees and winged creatures have now found their home in an overhang and other animals in the cave located there. The honey tasting with our random group of 5 was fun! There’s a varied gift shop and a cat wearing a bee costume.😍

Perfect for nature lovers. - Xkopek is a unique place where you will learn about the native bees of the region, with knowledgeable guides who share their knowledge in different languages, including French. The activity is incredible, it includes many sites to explore including a honey shop, a restaurant serving fine cuisine and offers accommodation immersed in nature.

I'd do something else with your time and money - Well, given all the reviews, we thought it would be very special... but no. We paid 45€ for 2 adults and 2 children and what we got for it. A bare cave (dry cenote) with 1 (!) beehive on the ceiling and a wasp's nest. There was nothing else to see here. Then we were allowed to look at the hives of the bee, here were a lot of mosquitoes!!! This took a few minutes, there was little to see. The tasting was nice, some spoonfuls of honey and a few drops of alcohol with honey. But all in all, there is nothing to see. Too expensive for what you get. We finished in 45 minutes, while they said it would take an hour and a half. The guide was a nice man, though.
