This will change how you view Malta. Must see! - Absolutely worth every euro and minute of time spent on the Malta Experience in Valetta, next to St Elmo’s Fort. The film super informative. The highlight was the incredible tour guide, Anna. I’ve travelled extensively and she is of an unparalleled calibre. We were deeply moved by her presentation and walked out into the early evening, sun setting over beautiful Valetta, with a new depth of appreciation for the history of this land and its incredible people. Make this woman (Anna) Minster for Cukture in Malta🙌🏻🙏🏻 Thsnk you from British friends of Malta

Excellent - highly recommend. - A great introduction to the history of Malta and the Knights of St John.
An audio visual presentation giving an overview of the history of Malta, this is followed by a talk and guided tour of the hospital. The guide for the tour of the hospital was excellent- engaging, very knowledgeable and the tour and history of the hospital was fascinating.
All in all this is fantastic value for money and really good. On site is a nice gift shop and a cafe.
Would highly recommend if visiting for the first time.

History relaxing, simple and effective version - The tour begins with a 2D and 3D projection. Each with his helmet and language (more than 10 groins). Photos are forbidden, which is normal.
Even those who are not passionate about history can take a taste: nothing rebarbative, well synthesized... You get out of there without a headache!
The visit continues with the Sacra Infermeria (the sacred infirmary).
You need to understand a little bit of English or use translation software that can be downloaded on the phone.
Some people with basic English could understand: the guide spoke very good English, simple, distinctly. A real pleasure for some who didn't seem reassured at first.
You even discover the origin of some common words (salary, quarantine...).
Really interesting. No room for boredom...

Good starting point if visiting Malta for the first time. - A good place to start if it's your first visit to Malta. A 45 minute film telling Malta's history is followed by a guided tour of the Sacra Infermeria (now the Mediterranean Conference Centre). The guide was very informative about the Sacra Infermeria, and witty with it. There were about 15 of us in the group which was a good number, but i suspect the numbers would be a lot higher at peak season.

Information-packed show, but brilliant and entertaining guided tour - The audio-visual show did a reasonable job of conveying Malta's long and turbulent history. I found it very engaging and enlightening, though some of the sections went a bit fast. The animations/multi-media clips were also not used to the maximum effect. They seemed to be merely a backdrop over which the narrator would speak rather than actively being used to tell the story.
The guided tour of La Sacra Infermeria was excellent. I enjoyed that much more than the show. The lady guide spoke with such authority, theatricality and humour that she really made the history come alive for me. It was not a dry informational presentation, but filled with little anecdotes about life at the time of the infirmary and how you can see the impact of historical events on contemporary Malta.

Visit hospital in English only - A well-made film that lasts a little over half an hour on the history of Malta and Gozo in French followed by the visit of the superb hospital with the guide unfortunately in English!! I find that 20€ is expensive

Check details first before buying your ticket - When we got there, we were told that the 30 minute Sacra Infermeria tour was not happening, with no reason given as to why. We were then given a 4 euro refund from a 20 euro ticket (each) because of this. We watched the 45 minute film at a cost of 16 euros each in a theatre which has seen better days, which is extremely expensive. If you really want to do book this experience, just make sure the hospital tour is included. The historical film was interesting but definitely not worth the cost. I regret booking this!

The building is worth it - It's not worth it, the documentary doesn't contribute anything and seems to be more than 10 years old with some historical mistakes
We saw it with students who looked like high school when they turned on the light 90% were asleep 😂😂
The infirmary visit is all in English so you get it right.
20€ per person for what they offer is very expensive
