Beautiful - The scenery is beautiful. The atmosphere is exciting. We got the tickets to the monastery located a few meters away, they make a rate for both visits

Nice experience - Beautiful. The monastery is surprising and the chapel full of gilding. Several rooms to visit and a treasure at the end of the visit.

A very memorable experience. - It was an amazing experience, made more special by the excellent guide who gave us loads of useful information and one of the best yet when compared to other similar visits to other local treasures. The church has been very professionally restored and everything feels fresh and crisp. The entry fee was very reasonably priced. Well worth the visit.

Lovely Church and Artifacts! - I really enjoyed visiting this church and seeing all the interesting artifacts! The church is exactly what I hoped for, which was peaceful, historic, and beautiful. The artifacts on display were interesting and historic as well! I’m glad I visited!

Grandeur and Humility in one visit. - This was a fascinating visit to see the grandeur of the Black Friars Basilica and if you buy the combo ticket you can also visit the Mysterium Fidei Covent Garden and Nuns' living quarters. I particularly liked the humble quarters in the Convent and peace in the Covent garden would have liked to have compared this with the Black Friars' accommodation. Both sites are a short walk from each other.

Don’t miss this experience in Valletta - We were dropped looking for St. John’s Cathedral but were much more impressed with the hidden Valetta, black friars experience. Gorgeous restoration and nice exhibits, no crowds. A wonderful lady spoke with us regarding the relics of St. Domenic. Highly recommend this stop. The lines at St. John’s were 40 minutes long my. We visited both and prefer St. Domenic’s. If you have limited time in Valletta choose this site. Small entrance free, no waiting, stunning church.

Hidden Treasure that's just down the street - Just happened to glance up and caught the site of a small sign stating "Hidden Valletta" best decision we made that day. A short walk and we found the hidden treasure of a convent with beautiful cloister garden and interesting glimpse into convant life. Buy the duo ticket, which lets you have access to a truly beautifully restored Basilica of Saint Dominic that rivals St Joseph's Cathedral in its beauty. The staff were fantastic and eager and more than able to explain your questions and give you further insite into this really stunning church. Enjoy, we did.

Fantastic maintained church - Fantastically beautiful church. Every nook was a sight. You don't expect it to be that impressive on the outside. You spend about half an hour there but definitely worth it

Overwhelmed - We virtually stumbled upon Black Friars during the week after Easter this year. I myself live in Malta and enjoy exploring and discovering new places or going back to the ones I like. On April 6th we were strolling through the streets of Valletta and stopped in front of an open door, which I had never consciously seen before. We went inside and talked to the lady at the reception desk. She smiled and said we should not be astonished. That door had been closed for the public for centuries and only been opened the day before. She asked if we did not want to visit the Black Friars Museum and the Dominican Priory. Of course we wanted to do so. From the outside everything looks quite ‘normal’, like many Valletta buildings. Once inside, you discover another world however. In the museum part you learn a lot about the history of the Dominican Order in Malta. It is fascinating. The most impressive part of the visits are the chapels, in my eyes. You would never imagine anything like this from the outside. I went back recently to take photographs ( some of which I will publish with this review ) and I will certainly take my family there next month when they come and visit the Islands.
