A fun adventure - This was a fantastic half-day trip and Ricardo was a wonderful guide. I wasn’t sure what to expect but getting out of Porto and into nature was very refreshing and the views were breathtaking. Riding around the mountains in the Jeep was a fun adventure and spending time by the lake was relaxing. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes/shoes. I highly recommend taking this tour!

A very enjoyable, friendly & informative day out of the city to appreciate the surrounding area. - This trip beat our expectations in many ways. We were fortunate that the sun shone when it was meant to be a damp, grey November day. However, we were alone in booking a tour that day so received personal and enthusiastic service from host Ricardo.
Great communication preceded pick-up from our Porto hotel & journey into the local mountain park. Ricardo explained much about the area as we drove and when stopped. First short stop at a very old biscuit maker in Valongo was an interesting diversion.
After that, the drive through the lovely mountains of the Parque das Serras provided tranquility and good views as well as more explanation of what we saw by Ricardo.
Following this, we had time to explore the very pretty small village of Couce and understand some of the local history before visiting a traditional bar & restaurant in nearby Sao Pedro. We enjoyed a drink in the traditional surroundings and were particularly fortunate that on this quiet day, there was also time to enjoy a wonderful, traditional lunch there before returning to Porto.
So we were fortunate that this was a quiet day for business, but Ricardo took the opportunity to go above and beyond to make this a special trip for us.
A truly memorable morning.

Amazing drive - An alternative tour for the nature lovers!
Going off-road and enjoying the view from the mountains is a must especially if you stay 3 or more days in Porto! Totally recommend that!

Such a great experience! - We loved this unique experience exploring the mountains outside of Porto, and a little peek at life outside the city. Ricardo was phenomenal! As we were visiting off season, he was able to pick us up at our hotel, and we embarked on a tour of the mountains nearby & some genuine culture of the surrounding areas. in addition to the amazing views & rollercoaster 4x4 experience (which was great fun), he took us to visit a local bakery, his local watering hole and a small village off the beaten path. It is clear Ricardo has a genuine love of his country & community. He shared his kindness, knowledge, curiosity & gentle humor with us throughout our excursion. We so enjoyed our afternoon with him, and would 100% encourage others to get to know the area through his eyes. .

Stunning mountains - Fantastic trip out to the mountains. Ricardo is good fun and very knowledgeable. The views are stunning. One of the best trips we've ever done.

Stop trying to decide ---- this is THE tour you want! - We had so much fun on this tour! It was different from anything else we've done in Porto, and for that it will be our fondest memory. We had beautiful weather and our guide made the whole experience really special.

Best holiday adventure - If if only do one tour make sure it is the 4x4 adventure with Ricardo! His tour was both informative and entertaining. Ricardo gave us the true authentic Portuguese experience. Accompanied by music, the rollercoaster ride through the mountains was the most memorable experience of our holiday.
Ricardo’s tour is highly recommended… make sure to ask for him!

This tour was one of the... - This tour was one of the highlights of my whole trip to Porto! The views from the mountains are expansive and beautiful; walking through Aldeia de Couce was very peaceful - a refreshing contrast to how busy and fast paced things can be coming from the city.

One of the funnest things we did in Porto. - Our guide Josue was excellent. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging.
The tour itself is a very unique thing to do with great views of Porto, steep climbs, incredible forest, Roman mines, all along the way to a very unique village and bar for a snack in what seams to be in the middle of nowhere . People were very friendly and entirely safe

Really great tour! - We had a great experience with our tour guide Ricardo. We wanted to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and that was wonderful with this tour. Ricardo showed us beautiful views, a traditional village and were offered drinks at the end. I would definitely recommend this tour!
