Boutique wineries are gaining popularity in Chile. Over the past decade, smaller projects have been establishing themselves and gaining a following in the local market. Flaherty Wines is a founding member of the Independent Vintners’ Movement (MOVI), a trade organization for small owner-involved wine projects.
The Flaherty winery is located in the estate house of an old hacienda, once known as Fundo El Magnolio, named after the giant magnolia trees in the park. The post-colonial adobe house, over a century old, retains much of its original architectural style. Enjoy a tour to learn about our winemaking process, followed by a tasting of three wines.

- Vina Errazuriz - Founded by Don Maximiano Errázuriz in 1870, Viña Errázuriz was established with a visionary and pioneering spirit, planting the first French grape varieties in the Aconcagua Valley. His legacy of innovation and creativity was passed down through generations, positioning the winery’s wines among the world’s most renowned.
The winery, a two-storey structure, took five years to excavate and construct its vast cellar rooms. The thick underground walls, built with bricks and mortar (a mixture of egg whites and sand), have endured over time, allowing the wine to be stored in large raulí casks at a constant temperature of 12 to 14º C.
The tour begins with a discussion of Viña Errázuriz’s history and its significance in the wine industry both nationally and internationally. Guests will visit the underground cellars and vineyards, learning about viticulture, weather conditions, and grape variety management.
Guests will also visit the new Icon Winery to learn about its sustainability-focused design and operations for producing Viña Errázuriz’s iconic wines.
The tour concludes with a tasting of three wines in our Icon Bodega tasting room: one Max Reserva wine, one Aconcagua Costa wine, and our Don Maximiano premium wine.
