• Plaza de los Poetas - A charming square celebrating the city’s significant literary history. The architecture is very nice, and there are some lovely gardens. It’s a pleasant stopover on the way to Pablo Neruda’s house. Shake hands with a statue or put your arm around another.
• Paseo Yugoeslavo Ex Paseo Americano - This place is unique in many ways. The buildings are very European, and the views are splendid. There are many stores and restaurants, as well as lovely photo opportunities and beautiful handicrafts sold throughout the area.
• Corporacion Museo de Arqueologia e Historia Francisco Fonck - The Museum of Archeology and History Francisco Fonck, established in 1937, is a diverse and comprehensive museum showcasing objects from Chile’s original peoples, highlighting its extensive collection of the Rapanui culture, the Atacameños, Diaguitas, Mapuches, inhabitants of the central and far southern regions, along with a wide collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian vessels. In the Natural Sciences area, there is a complete display of arthropods and animals from various parts of the country.
• Moai - This statue, brought from Easter Island, is extremely fascinating. It’s fun to take pictures standing by this statue. It makes one wonder about its original creators and entices people to visit Easter Island.
• Mirador Pablo Neruda - Pablo Neruda’s house is one of the most talked-about destinations in Valparaiso. It’s a small house atop Cerro Bellavista. It houses a museum offering glimpses of Pablo Neruda’s life and provides a vantage point to overlook the city. There are shops outside the house where one can pick up pretty magnets, and a quaint plaza nearby with steps adorned with beautiful mosaics.
