Upon arrival, you’ll be introduced to your horse and the guide who will lead the excursion. The trek commences with an ascent to the summit of Mount Terevaka, traversing through a eucalyptus grove teeming with the melodies of avian life and the chirping of crickets. Emerging from the woodland, you’ll encounter the tranquil pastures atop the mountain, an idyllic spot to savor the panoramic vistas and the caress of the breeze. At the pinnacle, a 360-degree uninterrupted view of the entire island and its encircling ocean awaits you.\n\nThe highlight of this journey is the opportunity to contribute to the legacy of Rapa Nui by planting a tree at the apex of Mount Terevaka. It is our hope that on a future visit, you may find solace in the shade or delight in the fruit of the tree you’ve sown.\n\nFollowing this meaningful act, we will mount our horses once more and commence the leisurely return to the ranch.\n\nThis route is specially tailored for beginners and is limited to a maximum of six participants. The local climate is known for its capricious nature, so it is advisable to come prepared for the possibility of rain.

Unforgettable memories - We had the most amazing experience on Rapa Nui with Tonchi and Aliz!!! Tonchi is a patient and knowledgeable horse rider who puts you at ease and reassures you with his clear explanations in excellent English. We had the most delightful conversation on the rich culture of Rapa Nui and the history of the island. He honestly shared his views on many different topics, which was an eye-opening experience and gave us a unique and genuine perspective about the island and his natives. We are very grateful to Tonchi for generously sharing his opinions with us and to Aliz for picking us up and being so kind during the transfer.
Planting a new tree in the mouth of the inactive volcano was a beautiful and touching experience for us.
If you want to choose a single activity only for your stay on Rapa Nui, choose this horse-riding tour, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Unforgettable afternoon, not to be missed! - When planning a mother/daughter trip to Rapa Nui I was looking for something as beautiful and interesting as the Island itself for an afternoon adventure. I am so happy we booked this ride, our guide was exceptional as he shared stories of the Island, and the fauna on his land and even showed us the home he was building. It was truly one of the most beautiful rides I have ever been on and the rich history he shared was truly interesting. He gave us time alone at the mountaintop to explore, meditate, and appreciate the beauty of the land. Along the way we saw horses, and cows roaming free the way, we learned they do throughout the Island. Then we helped re-forest the Island by planting a tree in honor of my mother. Whether a family trip, a romantic trip for two, or in honor of a special event, this is a trip NOT to be missed.

A must do trip on Rapa Nui - Such a fantastic trip- we’re still talking about it days later. Tonchi and Alice were really welcoming and the location is stunning. We rode up to the highest point of the island with uninterrupted views. It was amazing! The horses were really calm, Tonchi gave us lots of advice as beginners but the trip was really relaxed and fun and suitable for all abilities. This was a highlighted of our holiday.

Top 2 Things In Rapa Nui: Moai, This Tour - This was the best thing I've done in travel all over South America. Rapa Nui is beautiful. Guides are smart, know what they're doing, and know their history. I'll be back :-)

Amazing and beautiful adventure! - Horseback riding with 'Adventure Terevaka' was an immediate highlight of an already incredible trip to Rapa Nui / Easter Island, and I'd highly recommend signing up for your own adventure.
We recently booked a day-trip with fairly short notice, during the Tapati Rapa Nui, and the experience was seamless and stress-free. Alice (so friendly, kind and helpful) picked up us from our hotel promptly and took us on a short drive to the beautiful Adventure Terevaka grounds, where we met Tonchi, who would be our guide for the trip.
My friend and I had some basic experience horseback riding, but Tonchi was helpful and answered all of our questions, many just about local life on the island, as we took the ride to the top of Mount Terevaka. The horses were very well cared for - Tonchi is especially affectionate and caring to them and they even lead the way for most of the trip, knowing the best trail to get to the top!
At the top, we had as much time as we wanted to explore the peak and then plant trees Tonchi had brought with him, as he explained what they were and how they fit in with the local environment.
Overall, the experience was maybe 2-3 hours, always safe and fun. I can't wait to return another time for the nighttime moon-lit adventure.
Thank you Tonchi + Alice for your hospitality and kindness. Good luck on your future expansions and rides and congratulations for your awesome business!
- Dave.

Wonderful experience (just wear pants or you'll take home scars as souvenirs) - Do not, I repeat, DO NOT take this excursion wearing shorts unless you want to lose a bit of skin on your legs from the saddle.
Other than that it's a wonderful ride. Iti, the horse was gentle, the area is spectacular, the view from the top of Terevaka is spectacular and planting a tree to help with reforestation of the island was an incredible way to spend a morning on Rapa Nui.
If (when) I go again I will definitely do this trip again (with pants).

Plant a tree - Was picked up and taken to the beautiful property that this company has right off of the national park. We were introduced to our horses, what kind of trees we were going to be planting, and then headed out. The steadily rising trail through eucalyptus forest was great, then the second half brought us out to wide expanse and great views. Our guide and company owner told us about the importance of replanting trees and the oral tradition theories about what happened to them in the first place. Bring a jacket and hat because it's quite windy up at the top, with 360 degree views! We each got to plant a tree. Spent some time taking pics. Great time. He also has a sunset ride that is popular for obvious reasons, but we wanted to give back to the island that hosted us for 4 days. Go check it out!

Great horse ride - Owner (Tonte) picked us up at hotel right on time and took us to his property. He spoke English very well and was great conversation the entire journey. Horses were very well behaved, and the trail was not frightening at all. The ride was about 1/3 thru the forest then we were in the open spaces, so you got to see both kinds of scenery. You get in the clouds on the very top of the mountain, but they pass thru and you have a view in any direction at any given time. Not a horse person by nature but this was a fantastic experience, I highly recommend.

Best Day ! Fun Day .. really mother nature? Amazing group of people AMAZING TIME - What can I say we got super delayed getting to the island and had 1 day ! on the island we did this as our only excursion. Not knowing much about it I did not know what to expect .. Myself and my 13 year old got picked up promptly at the hotel the ride to the ranch was quick and easy and we were on our way shortly with our guide who was amazing ! My 13 yo was not the most experienced so she went at OUR pace which was amazing.. We were told to bring jackets due to the wind.. mother nature had different plans for us we went from sunshine to wind to fog to crazy rain to more fog back to sunshine .. We planted the trees in the pouring rain and IT WAS AMAZING ... just roll with it ! And let your horse guide you .. When we go back this will be on my list to do again.. with extra clean clothes in tow :o) they even swung us by the post office on the way back as we had no idea where it was and how to get there !! .. Give this company a chance they just started on Trip advisor !! And hey guys ! Change your title still !! It should read Horseback riding to the highest point of Easter Island and leave your mark by planting a tree!! or something like that ! LOL Miss you all see you soon !! Natalie
