Exceeded exceptions and a most memorable/perfect tour to start off 2025 with!! - All the rave reviews of this tour are all true, and Daniel is a gem of a guide!! Daniel is not your typical guide. He genuinely loves art and culture and he is passionate in what he does and we believe he wants the best for his clients (sounds weird since I don't think he views us as his clients -- we are more like his friends!!). His tour truly stands out from other Valparaiso tours. I compared most of the Valparaiso tours on TripAdvisor, and his is the only one that allows flexibility and focuses on the art and culture aspects of what Valparaiso offers. Our tour took place on NYD (today)!!! This is what Daniel described as a "hard holiday" meaning things are closed and his employees are not available (he worked as our driver and our guide) so the question is should he still offer the tour while running the risk of disappointing his "clients?" We were very lucky because he did!! And he was very transparent and honest with us about the limitations of touring on NYD and what he could or could not do!! We did not do the wine tasting part of the tour since the vineyard was closed (which was just fine). Instead we did an in-depth tour of Valparaiso, and it was truly memorable. Daniel is clearly so well loved by many in the neighborhood. We had our luggage with us (Daniel's team is the only one that offers airport pickup and drop off, too!!!!) he was so responsible that he went out of his way to store our luggage with a street vendor (can you believe that???). He also knows local artists!! We ran into the great and amazing Varas Mackenzie (!!!) who is Daniel's friend and Varas invited us to visit his studio on NYD when his studio was closed!! WOW!! Daniel himself is truly interesting and knowledgeable. He has a grad degree in philosophy and he's an excellent photographer and he has the best taste in music (he played cool local musicians and singers' music and MV during the drives)!! All of his knowledge and interests in art make him the perfect guide you would want for an art and culture tour like this one. He also took excellent (!!!) photos of us without us asking!! We feel like we were accompanied by the best possible personal photographer and guide!! Hands down the best guide and tour, and absolutely the perfect way to start off the new year with!!

Amazing tour of Valparaiso! - This tour was amazing! Daniel is the absolute best! We got to wine taste in Casablanca! Emiliana winery was gorgeous and the wines were perfect! They even celebrated my partners birthday! Daniel was brilliant! He shared so much knowledge and history of the region, the country, and the sites! We enjoyed every minute! He took wonderful photos for us! He left no detail out and truly values the human touch! Then the breathtaking art of Valpairaso! The ocean at Vin el Mar! The perfect murals and art! The wonderful free time to explore and eat local food! Everyone knew Daniel so we got to meet artists and artisans! Make sure you have an empanada and a local beverage! He was so accommodating it was just everything we could have hoped for! I recommend this tour highly!!! Professional, kind, and it was like traveling with a knowledgeable friend!

It's worth seeing Valparaíso with a guide - We found this tour very profitable! I already knew Valparaíso and still I liked the excursion, because our guide Daniel explained a lot about the murals and even took us to the studio of one of the artists. The boat ride was also nice, as we had a different perspective of the city. I only make one reservation about the visit to the vineyard: in addition to being in the morning, somewhat impairing the tasting included in the price, they offered nothing to eat (chestnut, chestnut, olive, nothing). I would skip this visit, added nothing.

Wonderful tour of Valparaiso! - This tours was a lot of fun! Alexis is very knowledgeable about the history of Valparaiso and Chile overall. He's fun and engaging to talk to. The trip itself was perfect, no rushing. We took as long as we liked at any stop. The street art is amazing. He also recommended a very nice restaurant with a view of the harbor. Definitely recommended, I hope we return soon and can take a different tour with the same people.

Best Tour Ever - All the Stars! - Overall this tour was perfect for a few reasons: - Daniel was really communicative after the booking to coordinate logistics. Normally the tour starts and ends in Santiago, but we were staying in Vina del Mar, and he was able to make sure the transportation was sorted. - At no point did we feel rushed, which allowed us to really enjoy every part of the tour. We did an expanded tasting at the vineyard, walked around to check out the grounds and had a nice lunch. - In Valparaiso, Daniel knew all the best spots for murals and artwork, cool little shops and cafes, and background on all the local artists. Our son (9) enjoys art and had a blast learning about all the different styles. - The tour was well thought out and included the boat ride, which is a great way to see Valparaiso from a different point of view. - Lastly, Daniel was a great photographer and took over 100 photos of our family that turned out great. He captured some fun moments for us that we would have missed. I've taken a lot of tours in various countries and thought this was one of the best ones yet.

WOW! I highly recommend this tour company! - WOW! I have experienced countless tours around the world and this was hands down the best I've ever taken! First to know, it was not a "packaged tour" where you get 10 minutes here or 30 minutes for lunch. The day moved fluid and there was no timetable. It was a small group and we instantly made friends. As a solo traveler, this is the best case scenario. There were only 5 on our tour, I think the cap is 12 which is smaller than other tours and way more personable. Sometimes you select a tour in a language that the tour guide really doesn't speak. Not the case here! Our tour guide, Alexis, spoke fluent English, Spanish, German in our group (he also spoke Korean and Mandarin to other tourists). Now that we are talking about Alexis, this is a your operator that is PASSIONATE about history and sharing the story of Chile with you! He is excited you are there and he's going to make this experience the best it can be! He's knowledgeable about everything: Chilean history, agriculture, ports, culture. He knew every flower we passed, the artists of the murals, the inside story of every landmark. He's personable, vibrant and you walk away knowing a lot about Chile and a new friend. 10 stars!! Highly recommend!!

Excellent tour experience - Our guide Alexis and driver Juan were both amazing. We specifically picked this tour with Progressive Tours because it’s focused on Valparaiso and we had time to slowly walk around and enjoy the sights of the city. Pick up was punctual and excellent communication from Daniel and Alexis. The boat ride around the harbour at the end was a great way to finish and we were able to get close to half a dozen sea lions resting on buoys. A great tour with a great company, would highly recommend!

Superb discovery - Thanks to Alexis and Juan very involved in this superb excursion of a very beautiful day. Despite my approximate English Alexis has some notions (see speaks well French ) has been able to involve me on both sides on situations. Delighted with this superb day and again thank you to Juan for the meal suggestion. AU TOPPPPPP!!

Brilliant day out! - I had an amazing day out with Daniel at Valparaiso, included was the Casablanca wine tour and a harbour boat tour to complete the day. The reason why I picked the tour was because of the reviews, and they were so correct in every way. He found the best photographic spots as well as took so many photos for us and of us and shared them at the end of the day. Daniels eye for detail, very knowledgeable commentary and great sense of humour kept us all very engaged. Thanks Daniel your tour was tailored for the tourist, no rushing and excellent personal skills I Highly recommend.

Best tour! - One of the best tours I've done! Daniel was our guide and simply amazing - super knowledgeable on the city and guided at a great pace so we could meangle through the streets, enjoy a few local places, and truly experience Valparaiso. The set up was perfect with visiting a winery in Casablanca, then a local candy/coffee spot Curacavi, walking through the streets of Valparaiso, and finishing the day with a harbor cruise to see this incredible harbor city. I highly recommend this full day adventure!!
