Amazing Guide and Experience. Must Do for Anyone Visiting Chile! - Daniel was an amazing guide to take you around Valparaiso and the surrounding regions. We began the trip with lots of detailed history and background on Chile and the Valparaiso region and Daniel was very knowledgeable and also entertaining! He was able to make the best of a day with terrible weather, and work to find different ways to keep us out of the rain while still getting the full experience. The tour really shined when we got to Valparaiso. Daniel seemed to know about every one of the beautiful murals and their respective artists and was excellent at showing us around the city. The street art is the highlight of Valparaiso and it is unlike any other city in the world. On top of knowing everything about the art Daniel knew all of the locals in town including the local street dogs! Overall, this was an amazing experience and should be a must do tour for anyone visiting Chile.

A truly wonderful trip with an absolutely outstanding guide - This tour was the absolute highlight of my visit to Chile. I had the best time exploring Valpo - seeing the incredible street art, meeting the resident dogs, and experiencing an authentic taste of the city. The day completely flew by as we were all having so much fun together; even when we were driving our guide was regaling us with stories about local people and culture, and telling us the history of Chile. I didn't want the day to end as our tour guide was so outstanding and made every minute of the tour a complete joy!

Authentic, brilliant tour of Valparaiso - A brilliant, authentic tour. Daniel is a wonderful guide who takes you on a fun walk through the hilly streets of eclectic Valparaiso. You will feel like a local by the end of the day having seen amazing street art, ridden a classic funicular and been on a small boat trip with expansive views of the city from the sea. On the drive to Valparaiso from Santiago he will regale you with fun facts and stories about Chile, and on the way back stop at a winery in Casablanca to taste some of the excellent local wines. Skip the bus tours and go with Daniel who takes great pictures as well. Highly recommended!

The Best Tour Guide! - Daniel is an incredible tour guide! He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a good time. We encountered unexpected, delightful surprises at every turn, and he always seemed to be having just as much fun as the rest of us. Even the van ride was enjoyable, with engaging conversation and great storytelling along the way. He’s a wonderful photographer, too, so you don’t have to worry about getting selfies. He is so kind and goes the extra mile to make sure you get photos of yourself in some of the most beautiful locations. I was lucky to go on a few tours with him during my visit and now I want him to be my tour guide for everything!

Amazing Experience - We took this tour and it was wonderful. We got access to very beautiful and local places, making the most of our time during the day. We discovered some very cool spots in Valparaiso and also visited Viña del Mar. We ate at typical places away from the crowds and had a fantastic boat ride. Additionally, we visited a vineyard at sunset with delicious wines and the most beautiful view I’ve seen in Chile. I highly recommend it. Moreover, the guide is very professional, attentive, and polite. He shares interesting insights throughout the trip, making it very enriching.

A unique, complete and immersive experience in Valparaíso - An AMAZING Tour! This trip gives you a real and unforgettable experience, totally different from the usual tourist routes. We started with a van ride around the city, stopping at places with awesome views. Next, we took a lovely walk through the charming streets of Valparaíso. We explored cool spots that aren't usually on the tourist map, letting us dive deep into the local culture. Daniel, our guide, showed us around to typical hangouts where we chatted with locals, met artists, and even made friends with the friendly street dogs. The tour with Daniel is more than just regular sightseeing. He introduced us to people, stories, and places that truly capture the heart of Valparaíso. We picked out where to eat and had plenty of time to chill and enjoy each stop. The experience wrapped up with a boat ride giving us a fresh view of the city, and finally, a visit to a super charming winery. Plus, Daniel took some fantastic photos along the way with his keen eye. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. The spots we visited were perfect, and Daniel's company made the trip even better. He shared so much about the history, geography, politics, culture, and traditions of the area, making the tour both fun and educational. This tour is a one-of-a-kind experience, perfect for anyone who wants to see Valparaíso beyond the usual tourist attractions. Every second is worth it, offering a genuine dive into the soul of the city.

Meet the true local history with Daniel and Progressive Tours - It is hard to describe all the details about the trip with Daniel. First of all, let’s with Daniel the tour guide and owner of Progressive. He is just the nicest guide you will ever get to meet. He knows everyone (even the street dogs and cats) and he will introduce you to everyone. While we were in Valparaíso Daniel even stopped at the local artists home so we could get to meet them. Theese people art are all over Valparaíso and we could even get to meet them. Just amazing! So, about the tour, if you are one of those who just don’t care or don’t want to hear about the local culture and just want to take selfies at the city points to post on Instagram, this Tour is not for you. Our first stop was at a road restaurant to drink some coffee and eat “Manjar”, also known as Dulce de Leche in another parts of South America. Afterwards, before we arrived in Valparaiso, we made a quick tour in Viña del Mar instead of going to the Navy Museum so we could hear a bit more about conflicted history of birth from Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. After stopping at a local square in Valparaíso, Daniel tooked us uphill where we got off the Van and started a tour walking down the hills, visiting local shops, seeing the local culture through the street art and artists, talking to the local dogs and sightseeing just the best places in Valparaiso. The tour takes you also to the known parts of the city, but the best part are the places that the big agencies don’t go. But Daniel takes you there. We saw espetacular places that we never knew existed in Valparaiso in a very chill, still full of knowledge tour. We were able to see every place with enough time to do whatever was best at the moment, but still in time to see every little special spot that only the locals know (Daniel included). Apart from that, Daniel were so thoughtful and took pictures from us the whole trip with his own phone camera (which has one of the best cameras i’ve seen). He also even helped us with tips to places in Santiago and i’m sure he will be there for you too if you need anything. You cant be in better company!

The absolute BEST way to visit Valparaíso! - Dan was a superb guide! He showed so much knowledge of the culture around Valparaiso and Chile in general and that gave us a much needed background understanding of what we would see in Valparaíso. It feels like you're taking a stroll around with long-time friend who knows all about the town. No rush, no specific restaurant that you have to eat (like many tours), just an easy going, free and fulfilling experience. I recommend this tour for anyone looking for a more profound dive in the Valparaíso scenario instead of a shallow touristic tour where you almost always feel like you're constantly being rushed around spots in town. Dan is an amazing guy, and he knows every little street, local artists, even street dogs and cats, which are a lively and important part of the town, to be honest. This tour feels like the most complete experience we could've had, and the boat ride felt like a fascinating icing on the cake. If you have a chance, you can't miss this! Oh, and Dan is also an excellent photographer, which really helps you enjoy the ride not worrying about photos since you know that you have him taking amazing pictures of you and your friends/partner/family all along the way!

Excellent experience - Daniel gave us one of the best experiences that we had in Chile. We did a privet tour and got to know the most beautiful places in Valparaiso, where no other tour went. The experience is a must if you want to get to know the story of the country and also good art and good food. Daniel is a plus. He gave us the tour according to our preferences and what we wanted to know about the city.
