Highlights
- Adventure Terevaka - Take a short ride to the ranch (20 minutes), enjoying the nature of the trail. Here you will meet your horse and the guide for the activity. Once introduced and given the first instructions, we begin the climb to Terevaka. At first we cross a eucalyptus forest where small birds live. Then we continue riding through the high meadows of the mountain, a perfect place to enjoy the view and the changing tones in the sunlight. Once at the top, the horses graze and we sit down to enjoy an open-air show. On the way back, the first stars appear and in the middle of the forest we reach the end of the route. Special route for beginners. Maximum 6 people. The weather can be quite unpredictable, it is a good idea to be prepared for some rain.

Additional Information
The top of the island is a place with privileged views, so it has an important flow of tourists at the usual times. We offer to ride to the highest of the island at sunset, a time when you will feel that there is no one but you on the whole island. Silence is part of the natural spectacle. And to get there, we ride in the middle of the forest and meadows, where it is very difficult to bump into other people. A feeling of being in the middle of the wild, revives the soul of the island.

Meeting point at VaiTea, next to the old sheep farm. Allow 30 minutes (if we are picking up more people from the village). You can use this time to visit the ruins of the Williamson-Balfour Company.

Lovely horseback ride - We had a lovely horse ride! The landscape is beautiful and we were paired with horses that were appropriate for our riding levels. The sunset has beautiful. We would recommend this tour!

Riding off into the sunset. - The ride was easy. The horses were gentle. The leader was friendly and cared about our safety. He also knew a great deal about the island. It was a fun experience.

Great horse. Spectacular view. - Peaceful ride. Loved my horse. Guide spoke very good English and Spanish. Views spectacular. VERY windy on top of Mount Terevaka but fun and made for great photos. View of water and sky with so many colors was spectacular.

So This For Sure - Our guide was so attentive to each rider and I really appreciated that! I loved my horse. The scenery was beautiful and the ride itself was a nice amount of time. A perfect evening!

Great experience - This is a really great tour to experience the sunset on Easter Island. The horses were well prepared, and my guide spoke English very well and was very patient with me.

Sunset horseback ride wonderful, fantastic, ❤️ - Guides, Alice and Tonche, are amazing! Had the most wonderful time.
The ride up was very relaxing and arriving to the highest point on the island provided the most beautiful difficult to describe in words, views. The ocean seems endless and the colors at sunset were awe inspiring. We are so small and the world is so large.

Can only recommend - We had a wonderful horse riding tour in Rapa Nui. Our guide was very insightful and personable. Just bring a warm jacket.

Lovely two hour plus horseback ride - This was not a ride to see sunset at the highest point. It was a lovely ride to the highest point way before sunset because it would be too dark to ride back if you stayed there for sunset. Since it was winter they picked us up at 3:30 not 6:30. Luckily, he gave us three hours notice and we weren’t on a whole day tour!

Alice bad treatment with tourists - Good Tour, guide Tonchi very nice and welcoming to tourists; However, Alice left a lot to be desired, she was the one who took us from the hotel to the place of the parade, from the beginning her attitude was dismissive towards us; then on the way back we needed to arrive on time for a show (since the tour had been promised to end at 7:40 p.m. at the hotel); However, it was delayed for reasons that we understood, despite having explained that we had to be at the place as soon as possible; She treated us contemptuously by asking her to please leave us at the show location, and made comments like: “ah, then walk away”; being that at no time were we disrespectful. As for Tonchi, his attention was excellent, he himself said don't worry, we'll leave them where they belong.
Alice leaves a lot to be desired in her treatment of tourists
