In this exclusive tour for small groups, you will spend a day exploring Valparaíso as a local, using different types of public transport, such as trains, electric trolleybuses and old funiculars. You will share with the inhabitants in their daily activities, getting a local feeling and understanding how they live here. You will have time to go shopping, relax or even have a coffee or empanadas. Your native guide will be happy to adapt the tour to your special interests, be your personal photographer or help you obtain specific collectibles and, at the end of the day, you will have a new friend in this part of the world.

I couldn’t have asked for more. - I couldn’t have asked for a better tour of Valparaíso. Cristian was friendly, personable, and funny. He was also very patient when I tried to speak in Spanish, offering gentle corrections when needed. (I will say that his English is incredible though. You don’t need to speak Spanish to thoroughly enjoy this tour.) Beforehand, I worried that it was going to be long day of climbing hills, but it was perfect! We used funiculars and other types of local transportation to travel up the hills. He started the day by asking what I’m interested in and what I enjoy doing. Then he customized the tour to include those interests. We rode a few funiculars, went to a fish market, walked through some residential neighborhoods to get a feel for how Poteños live. He told me about the history of some of the larger homes. Chilean’s celebrate their independence this month, so, at my request, we spoke about that history. We also spoke about the coup and the dictatorship. He seemed prepared to answer any and every question I had. I was very impressed. If I ever come back, I would do this tour again. There is so much to learn! P.S. There were sea lions!

Valparaiso brought to life. - The Valpo in 1 Day tour with Cristian was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody who wants to get a flavour of life in Valparaiso . His anecdotes about growing up here really brought the place alive. He took us on Micro buses, Trolley buses , trains and the funiculars exploring many local areas. We had a fantastic day.

Great tour!!! One of the best! - This is one of the best tours I've ever been on. Paula is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and personable. It was a more culturally authentic tour than most I've been on which I loved

Highly recommended - I was lucky enough to be the only person on the tour, and Paula was a superb guide. We traveled on various forms of transport and stopped at multiple points of interest around the colourful city that I would never have seen otherwise: the fish market, sea lions and pelicans were an unexpected highlight for me! Her choice of restaurant for lunch was also good: great food and views of the city. I highly recommend this tour.

great tour around Valparaiso with Christian. - Perfect day with Christian, our guide. Loved the tour around Valparaiso with the fish market, the sea lions, the train/bus/tram transport, the grafiti tour, lunch etc. and very flexible. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Lovely Valparaiso - We very much enjoyed this great full day tour. Cristian did an awesome job getting us to leave like a local for a few hours, using public transportation and telling us about his experience leaving here. We enjoyed the fish market and its liveliness. The afternoon gave us the opportunity to discover street art in old Valpariso. Cristian was excellent at having us learn about artists and discover different areas of the city. We highly recommend this tour

We got to see some different areas of Valparaiso that we probably wouldn't have on our own.

Great day in Valparaiso - The tour itself was flawless Paula was warm, engaging and knowledgeable, giving just the right amount of information. our only misgiving was the restaurant chosen for lunch. It was beautiful, but the food was somewhat pricey and probably the worst meal we have had in Chile. I had the grilled scallops, which didn’t taste particularly fresh, and my partner had the congor soup, with tough fish and not very good flavor. All in all, though, it was a wonderful day with Paula.

Excellent City Tour - We took this amazing full day tour. It was a very good value. A highlight was the fish market which we reached by tram. Another highlight was the street art. The photo opportunities were endless! Our guide was knowledgeable and provided interesting commentary. If you want a picture of life in Valparaiso, this tour is for you and highly recommended.
