Tourists in our own city - Our tour was amazing! Emma made sure we were able to eat at Doc Morgan’s. Marco timed everything perfectly and is very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our family adventure. Thank you!

Bowen Island adventure - Our guide and captain, Graydon, was both informative and fun; he really made our tour great. The speed boat to the island was awesome (the survival suits make for some fun photos)! Dinner was very good, and sunset ride back to dock was as well. Highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous way to spend an evening in Vancouver! - I surprised my husband with the boat tour to Bowen Island and dinner last night for our Anniversary.(Aug.6) We had a wonderful evening, the tour was incredible! Dinner was delicious at the Tuscany restaurant on the Island. Captain Ray was entertaining and very informative about Vancouver and the sites in the surrounding areas. We were lucky to have a co-captain Emily as well. She lead us to the restaurant while Captain Ray got a permanent parking space so no time was wasted. Our meal came out within minutes of arriving. We enjoyed the company of 10 other participants as well. We would highly recommend this boat tour. All the staff at Vancouver Water Adventures were friendly, welcoming and very professional.

A Hoot on the Water! - This was a great experience! Zodiac boat was a hoot, and our skipper, Paul, was exceptionally friendly, capable and knowledgeable. Dinner at Tuscany was delicious and the whole scenery of Vancouver was spectacular. 4 stars only because parking at Granville Island is nearly impossible. We gave ourselves PLENTY of time to get to the launch location but almost missed it due to a complete lack of parking. Stressful! (Business was very understanding when i called to explain that we were stuck circling , however!). It would be great if somewhere in description of experience, guests could be cautioned as to this issue (especially if, like us, you are not from the area). Perhaps a shuttle to docks could be an option? But highly recommend this! Super fun and informative! Memories made for sure!!

It was OK. Quick little ride over. Ok dinner (family style) then quick ride back. Not much to it. Driver was good. - Pilot was super nice. Meet nice people on the trip. So the people were the best part. Trip and dinner itself was just ok.

Menu Confusion & Delay - Captain Lawrence was terrific. Very engaging, informative and fun. However, some things beyond his control negatively impacted our fun. Namely his boss/VWA let him down and therefore us paying customers. First the lady taking the waivers & passing out the menus (didn’t get her name, regretfully) for Dinner at Tuscany on Bowen Island told me, my wife, our 2 friends as well as 2 new acquaintances to order 1 thing/item PER PERSON off the menu. When I asked about the pizzas she suggested we order a large pizza versus small. Upon arrival at Tuscany they indicated it was incorrect to order a large pizza for 1 person. The error was the waiver lady didn’t say a large pizza constitutes a 2 person order versus 1. The menu did say large pizza for 2. However, Capt. Lawrence said this was a newly implemented change and he was not told! CL said he and the waiver lady on shore were unaware of this change. To add to our poor experience re menus, there was a reservation mix-up and our table wasn’t ready upon arrival to Tuscany and we had to wait 1 hour to be seated to then learn the menu confusion! Lastly, the Tuscany Resturant on Bowen Island of say at least 50-65 seats HAS 1 COMMON BATHROOM! The line & wait to relieve oneself was 6 deep when we joined. The male GM suggested we go to the baseball fields toilet. Let me just say; it not EVER a recommendation any business should make for their customers. The toilets in the public Bowen Island baseball park isn’t worthy of more comment. In my view, truly customer focused, customer experienced committed organizations MAKE GOOD on their errors. Vancouver Water Adventures management not making good on these issues & putting their employees in this situation with an no ability to rectify is very troubling. Equally, I’ve just read Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential book and it is notable that the Tuscany Resturant refused to make a customer pleasing decision based on the poor communication by VWA with their own employees. The boat experience is a 5. Capt. Lawrence is a 5, VWA is a 1. Tuscany is a 1. It’s hard to separate the meal experience for a DINNER boating experience from the entire experience.
