Banff - Continuing our journey, we’ll enter the Rocky Mountains, crossing the Kicking Horse Pass into Alberta and Banff National Park. Our day concludes in the historic town of Banff, nestled in the mountains.
Lake Louise to Icefields Parkway
Icefields Parkway - Our day begins at Lake Louise, one of the world’s most stunning and iconic lakes.
Moraine Lake - Our next stop is Moraine Lake, famous for its striking beauty and surrounded by the breathtaking peaks of the Valley of the Ten Peaks.
Crowfoot Glacier - We then visit the awe-inspiring Crowfoot Glacier, a majestic natural wonder shaped by time.
Peyto Lake - Next, we head to Peyto Lake, our favorite in the Rockies. Its unique wolf-shaped outline and vibrant turquoise waters, set against a stunning mountain backdrop, make it truly unforgettable.
Mistaya Canyon - We take a short walk to Mistaya Canyon, where you can witness the powerful flow of the Mistaya River and the striking rock formations it has carved over time.
Icefields Parkway to Banff
Athabasca Glacier - We head to the Columbia Icefield, the largest in the Rocky Mountains, covering an impressive 325 square kilometers, where we will take a short hike to the toe of the Athabasca Glacier.
Sunwapta Falls and Canyon - As we enter the stunning Jasper National Park, we’ll visit Sunwapta Falls, a powerful cascade of water plunging through a dramatic gorge.
Athabasca Falls - Next, we’ll visit Athabasca Falls, a powerful and mesmerizing waterfall located in the heart of Jasper National Park.
Banff - Our day’s journey concludes in Banff, where we’ll spend the night in this iconic mountain town, nestled in the very heart of the Rockies.

Banff - Today is yours to enjoy as you wish! Where better to have a free day than in the heart of the Rocky Mountains? Go hiking, explore the sights of Banff, sample some of Banff’s great breweries and restaurants, or for an optional extra cost, try whitewater rafting, canoeing, or mountain biking. Our guide can help you choose the best activities for your day. Enjoy!
Banff to Revelstoke
Takakkaw Falls - Our first stop of the day is Takakkaw Falls, located in the picturesque Yoho National Park. This impressive waterfall is one of the tallest in Canada. Please note this stop is seasonal (late June to October).
Emerald Lake - Next, we visit Emerald Lake, known for its vibrant, jade-colored waters. Surrounded by towering peaks and lush forests, this serene alpine lake offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere.
Natural Bridge - Next, we’ll explore the Natural Bridge in Yoho National Park, a unique geological feature formed as the Kicking Horse River carved a natural arch through the stone.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort - Next, we’ll visit Revelstoke’s exciting Aerial Adventure Park, where you can swing, climb, jump, and free-fall through a thrilling four-story adventure. Challenge yourself with over 50 obstacles, ranging from beginner to advanced, and navigate the park at your own pace.
Revelstoke - We will then make our way to Revelstoke, where we can wind down by spending the evening relaxing by the pool or hot tub, or explore the charming history and unique character of this mountain town.
Revelstoke to Whistler
Nairn Falls Provincial Park - Our final stop before Whistler takes us past the stunning peaks of Pemberton to Nairn Falls, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush forests and dramatic cliffs.
Whistler - After settling in, it’s time to immerse yourself in Whistler’s vibrant nightlife. From lively bars to buzzing clubs, there’s no shortage of places to dance the night away, ensuring we make the most of our final night of the tour in this iconic mountain town.
Whistler to Vancouver
Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre - Our first stop of the day will be the Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre, where you can immerse yourself in the rich traditions and history of the Squamish and Lil’Wat Nations. Explore the vibrant exhibits, learn about Indigenous culture, and gain a deeper understanding of the area’s heritage through art, storytelling, and interactive displays.
Brandywine Falls Provincial Park - Next, we will take a quick stop at Brandywine Falls, a spectacular 70-meter waterfall set against a stunning backdrop of lush forest and towering mountains.
Stawamus Chief Park - Next, we’ll stop at Stawamus Chief, one of the most iconic peaks in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor. Known for its towering granite face, this impressive mountain is a must-see for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Shannon Falls Provincial Park - Next, we’ll visit Shannon Falls, a beautiful cascade of water plunging 335 meters down the mountainside. Surrounded by lush forest, this easy-to-access waterfall offers a peaceful setting perfect for a quick stop and photo opportunity.
Vancouver - After traveling down the breathtaking Sea-to-Sky Highway along Burrard Inlet, with jaw-dropping views of the coastal mountains giving way to the city skyline, we will reach our final destination. It’s time to say goodbye to your new lifelong friends and cherish the memories of this incredible journey.

The 8 day Caribou tour is a great way to see the Canadian Rocky Mountains and the highlights of southern British Columbia. Travel the world famous Icefields Parkway and visit Banff, Nordegg and Yoho National Parks on our most popular tour. Hiking in the mountains, swimming in stunning lakes, chasing waterfalls, spotting wildlife, and exploring Indigenous cultures await. And get your thrill (or chill) on by trying some of the optional activities!
Note: some of your fellow travellers will have already travelled together on one of our longer combination tours.
Moose tours are designed for 18 to 39 year olds, but we welcome all adventurous travellers that are 18+.
- Minimum age is 18 years
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Luggage Restrictions: Each passenger is restricted to one reasonably sized main backpack, bag, or suitcase to be stored in the bus luggage compartment, with a maximum allowable weight of 23kg (50lbs) and maximum linear dimensions (Height + Width + Depth) of 158cm (62in). In addition, each passenger may bring one small daypack that will be carried in the passenger compartment of the bus. Moose reserves the right to refuse to accept luggage that exceeds our weight and/or size restrictions. Moose will not cover any storage costs incurred by the client as a result. If Moose chooses to accept overweight or oversize luggage, we will charge a fee of $50 per bag for overweight/oversize pieces. Note that the decision to accept an overweight/oversize piece can only be made at departure.
