- Tantalus Lookout - Mount Tantalus is located in the marine west coast climate zone of British Columbia. Most weather fronts originate in the Pacific Ocean, and travel east toward the Coast Mountains where they are forced upward by the range (Orographic lift), causing them to drop their moisture in the form of rain or snowfall. As a result, the Coast Mountains experience high precipitation, especially during the winter months in the form of snowfall. Temperatures can drop below −20 °C with wind chill factors below −30 °C.

The airport is an excellent art gallery of First Nation works - This airport is a real gem when it comes to the local art on display throughout the complex. Upon arrival, you pass numerous works that are eye-catching, but it gets far better as you explore more of the airport.
The selection of the works is really good, but the display and attention to detail is special. You can use the typically dull airport time in an educational and inspirational way. ENJOY!
