Perfect one-day excursion to Victoria - Great day in Victoria seeing Butchart Gardens and exploring downtown Victoria. Despite delay in seaplane departure from Vancouver, the day more than met our expectations.

Expensive but worth w - Great company… weather can always be tricky, so trips do get cancelled.. we were able to make it out, and the weather was beautiful. Even my husband, who is not really into flowers, loved Butchart gardens. Our bus driver was fabulous and informative, and the views on the way back in the sea plane were amazing. Highly recommend!!

Easy and Fun! - Such an easy and convenient way to see Victoria and the Gardens in the same day! Our flight was packed with gorgeous views and The Gardens were stunning. All the staff from the airline to the bus driver were super friendly and informative.

Great day in Victoria - Seaplane was a great experience and fast to get to Victoria. Since we arrived early we were able to get to Butchart Garden before the crowds. We went through the wonderful gardens with ease and they were beautiful. We then had plenty of time to explore Victoria. Great little city with lots to see.

Only one disappointment ever with Viator - This was the first Viator scheduled experience that didn't go perfectly. Not Viator, nor Harbor Air's fault. All was great except for the intermediary company CVS that was providing the shuttle from Victoria center to Butchart. Madison said the supervisor only scheduled one bus instead of 2. There was no bus running on our schedule to leave at 11am for Butchart. For good customer service, she put us in a taxi rather than making us wait 90 min. The problem was that we were supposed to come back on the 3p which she said would be full and that we would have to take an Uber or taxi back from Butchart to catch our plane. Therefore we had to spend an additional $60.00 of our own money after we had paid a large amount to get from Vancouver to Butchart and back in a day. That was disappointing. Having a taxi voucher for return would have rated a 10 star.

Great time, need more flexibility - We thoroughly enjoyed both the seaplane and the Butchart Gatdens. And we had picture perfect weather. The only “snag” was that we were back in town by 3:00 and our plane didn’t leave until 6:00. And because we booked through Viator we were not allowed to change flights.

Seaplane and garden tour in Victoria - The weather was bad but the larger size seaplanes were able to get us over to Victoria for our day trip. The flight was rough and lasted about 40 minutes. Bus transfer the Butchart Gardens was okay- once we realized we needed to check in with Gray Line tours in front of The Empress Hotel and get additional boarding pass. Pick up signage was Minimal, so that was confusing. Bus driver was excellent and talked about Victoria as well as the Butchart family and history of the garden on the 40 minute ride. The gardens are spectacular. As a third generation gardener, I have been to many gardens over my lifetime. I have completed gardening programs at the New York Botanical Garden and been a member of the NYBG as well as the Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC. Despite the rainy gloomy start to the day, the sun came out by afternoon and the weather was perfect. The garden was fairly crowded on a Saturday but is so well laid out and impeccably maintained that it did not dampen the experience. We started with visit to the coffee shop, stopped for lunch in The Blue Poppy and finished up with visit to the Seed and Gift Store. Seaplane back home was excellent and the pilot was great. Sorry I didn’t get his name but he was the one from Virginia who has twin brother and been in Vancouver for 20 years. Highly recommend this trip.

Too expensive and unreasonable. - it was good but no seating reservation on sea plane, which is little in convenient. Major issue was too expensive. Butchart garden ticket only $80 CAN and Sea plane arround $100CAN one way. But we paid close to $1500 CAN for two way ( returned) sea plane and Butchart garden trip Bus fare from Hotel Fairmont Empress to Butchart Garden ( two way) should not be that expensive Over all It's too expensive and unreasonable.

A Hectic Day of Traveling - Check in to Victoria was clumsy. My flight to there was delayed by 15 minutes. No explanation. Upon arrival, another check in to Buchart Garden. It took 20 minutes to queue but the coach arrived late by 35 minutes. Me and other people were merged with another tourist group who were on their travel midway. That's the main cause of the delay albeit not solely because of traffic jam. To my surprise, my return flight to Vancouver city was as smooth as one would normally expect, no delay.

Beware of Weather in Vancouver! - We were never able to take this tour. The first day we could not take off on our seaplane trip due to foggy weather. Harbour Air was great about helping us to re-schedule for the next day. We were able to take off from Vancouver, but could not land in Victoria due to fog on the second day. There was no third day for us as we were scheduled to leave the third day. Sadly we never got to visit Butchart Gardens, which was the whole point of this Vancouver visit. If there’s a next time, we’ll ride the ferry.
