Great flight. - We hadn’t prebooked but seeing the floatplanes on a beautiful clear, blue sky day with poor weather forecast for later in the week we popped in to the office to see what was available. There were a few options at various prices and we were able to book the tour we wanted with only a short wait. The plane had a few spare seats so we were able to spread out to get window seats. The flight was beautiful but started to get a little rocky as we got into the mountains. As we landed about 5 minutes short of the booked time the pilot said that he’d turned back due to turbulence and so we were only going to be charged for the shorter flight. The refund was automatically applied to our credit cards without us even needing to go back into the office. This was very impressive. We all loved our tour. It was my first time in a floatplane.

Amazing experience - We flew from Vancouver to Whistler on Thursday, 19th of September, 2019 with the 9 am flight. It was a great adventure with beautiful landscapes. At Whistler, a very pleasant Harbour Air employee drove us from the lake to the village. He took time to explain tourists informations and was available for any questions / recommandations.

Beautiful scenery - The staff on arrival were very welcoming and friendly, our flight was not full so we were able to choose our seats and had plenty of space to see the views. The outgoing flight was incredible- truly unbelievable scenery. I highly recommend. On arrival at Whistler, we used the free shuttle into town which was easy and quick. There was also the option of bike hire. We were then collected at the end of the day by the bus which was prompt to take us back to the port. The return flight was very turbulent, I think the fact that it was cloudy towards the end of the day contributed to this and as a result the views were foggy! I would say that personally our experience would not have been any less if we had taken the bus back rather than taking the sea plane both ways. All in all a great experience.

So worth it - If you are without a car, I highly recommend flying at least one way to/from Whistler. This was so stress free and easy, and the views were insane. I was on the first flight of the morning over to Whistler, and it was aboard one of the planes equipped for touring so the pilot gave us a mini tour on the way. He spouted off tons of great information and made the flight even better. They bring their planes back to Vancouver each night, so if you take the first flight to Whistler you might end up on their tour plane, and if you are lucky to have a fantastic pilot, then you will get a little tour as well!

Brilliant - Always wanted to fly in a float plane and it was as good as I had hoped. Because you fly through the mountains it is a bit turbulent but the view of the mountains, valleys and lakes are amazing and when you arrive in Whistler it is so beautiful. The village is packed with bars, restaurants and shops - do not bypass the Rocky Mountain Chocolate shop!! So glad we hired bikes as the area is lovely to cycle around.

Clearly a good decision to make! - It was perfect sunny morning after raining on previous day. Check in line was long, but that's not for our flight. Our flight was operated by Whistler Air and not Harbour Air - maybe that's why the information of our flight wasn't on the information screen, neither announced by the loud speaker. It made me a bit confused looking for information during the boarding time. Our flight to Whistler was full but we managed to book single seat on the left side of the plane. A bit nervous at the beginning, but the pilot flied and landed it super smoothly. What I want to make it clear is that unlike scenic helicopter flight I took in New Zealand and Australia, this flight is not a real scenic tour flight, but mere a short real flight. Means : the pilot wont turn around or slow down to provide similar scenic view for the guest on left side and right side. So I who sat in left side left jealous by the scenic view the right side passengers had. And the first two seat on the right side where you get the best spot for view are not for reserved. And don't expect any explanation or communication with the pilot because it is not a tour flight. Still, this flight is worth to take, especially to save some time to travel and to travel with style, pampered by perfect view from above. Will definitely take this flight again if there's another opportunity :)
