A full day out with Butchart Gardens being the highlight - This was a great tour! Our first time in Vancouver & Canada was made even better by the friendly young Irish Canadian aka Santa! He was very knowledgeable about Vancouver & the places visited. We also felt very safe with his smooth, skilled driving. Butchart Gardens are a must see & we would recommend Viator.

A perfect day out - Our driver and guide Senen was superb. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. His directions as to where to go and timing of everything was impeccable. He also seemed a very safe driver. It seems autumn is a good time to visit Bucharest gardens as the autumn colours are beginning but there are also a lot of flowers. The garden itself is in perfect condition which takes a lot of love and hard work. This is one of the things that humans enjoy about gardens I think - the obvious love and care that has been poured into it.

Lovely day at Butchant Gardens and Victoria - This tour was very good, we were picked up on time and managed to get an earlier ferry , this enabled us to have longer in Butchant Gardens and in Victoria, the coach driver (I think his name was Dan) was very informative and made the day go very smoothly

Very enjoyable! - Very nice tour. The ferry ride was very comfortable. The gardens were beautiful. And Victoria was lovely.

Great trip great guide - An early start today as we were picked up by a tour guide for our day trip to Vancouver Island. The coach ride down to the ferry port was really interesting as we had a full commentary. We have, again, been blessed by beautiful weather so the crossing was fabulous, with the ferry weaving through the Gulf Islands in the Straits of Georgia. We then headed to Butchard Gardens, 55 acres of privately owned gardens on the south of Vancouver Island. The close proximity to the mountains in north USA means the south of Vancouver Island has a Mediterranean micro-climate and therefore the gardens are able to grow a wide range of plants. We really enjoyed walking round the gardens including the sunken garden, the Japanese garden and the Italian garden, all beautifully maintained by over 70 gardeners. We found a quiet bench with a view to have a picnic lunch. This afternoon we went to the state capital Victoria. With a beautiful inland harbour it had an exclusive air, with lots of big yachts. We walked over to see the Legislature, their impressive parliament building. Then had a walk around the harbour and down the main shopping street. The harbour is dominated by the enormous Fairmont Empress Hotel, so a cocktail on the terrace seemed in order…….. it would have been rude not to . Our ferry back was sadly mainly in the dark and arriving back at our hotel at 9.30pm made it a 13 hour day but it has definitely been worth it . You mention Vancouver to anyone who has been here and they always say you must visit Vancouver Island….. they were right! Special mention to our driver/ guide Dan who was professional calm funny and informative Every stop was well explained and timings clarified. He also gave top tips for how to approach the sights to the best use of time such as buying a sandwich on the ferry to eat at Butchart to have more time in the gardens which side of the ferry to sit and where to get food and drink in Victoria. Really appreciate his style!

Long day - excellent experience! - Our driver/tour guide, Anthony, was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable about Vancouver, Butchart Gardens & Victoria - we learned a lot from him. He kept the group on time & was very accommodating dropping people off at the end of the day. We would definitely recommend this tour for a great day trip experience to see the Gardens & Victoria.

Beautiful gardens, ferry ride and tour - The garden is beautiful, the ferry ride pleasant with an amazing view of the sunset. Our tour driver was wonderful, too😊

The Butchart Gardens and Downtown Victoria were truly wonderful! - While the day was long, our driver and guide, Anthony, had the perfect personality to keep everyone on our tour fully engaged throughout the entire day. His commentary was very informative and interesting. The Butchart Gardens were stunning and incredibly gorgeous; and the downtown area of Victoria had plenty to see, from the beautiful Empress Hotel, to Parliament, to Fishermans Wharf. Our 2 hours there went by quickly! The ferry back to Vancouver was a nice 90 minutes of time to relax and reflect on a wonderful day on Victoria Island.

Excellent - Very good day trip but it is a lot. Be prepared for a 12-13 hour journey. You will see a lot! The ferry trip is unique. Our driver Ocean was great!
