Highly Recommended Trip - What an amazing and awe inspiring trip. We booked through Tan Feet online and enjoyed it immensely. The Doka Coffee Plantation was a great tour, source of information and breakfast was provided. Delicious! The Waterfall tour and habitat was so vibrant and unique. They provided us with lunch that was so yum! And the Arenal Volcano!!! What a sight to trek through and enjoy.

A recommend to discover the country - It was my first and a quick visit, but the drive to the coffee plantations and the beautiful villages, or the waterfall was great to discover the costalican hospitality and its richness of nature. The tour company responded quick and all were nice. Oscar, the guide was specially full of knowledge and heart warming, with passion to really make the guests feel the richness of Costalica, and was one of the best guides iincluding other countries.Great breakfast too. あいにくの雨でしたが熱帯雨林を味わって、コスタリカの歴史や食事、自然に癒されました。オスカーさんにはエコツーリズムの真髄を教わった気がします。

Waterfalls were awesome - but also....sloths. - The tour guide, Larry, hands down made this trip as fun as it was. His sense of humor was on point all day. The waterfalls were beautiful and to be expected. I didn't realize the waterfall garden also had some animal rescue stuff, so that was a delightful surprise. Got to see parrots, toucans, some monkeys, a few cats, hummingbirds, frogs, butterflies, AND SLOTHS!!!! Unfortunately, the coffee plantation we went to was closed, so no gift shop section was available to buy the coffee - but that's fine. We still went to the fields and got a ton of info about coffee. I would do this tour again if I can back with friends!

Great experience that is overpriced if you have your own transportation. - The La paz Waterfall Gardens is a must-visit. You will see plenty of animals (Getting up-close with toucans, other birds, butterflys, and frogs). The waterfalls themselves are very scenic. This experience can be done on its own for ~$55. The Doka Coffee Plantation tour was also nice, informative, and interactive. This on its own is $42 with lunch (Through their website). If you have your own transportation I'd recommend booking these two activities separately. If you don't then it is a fair deal (+$70 for transportation for the day compared to just booking each activity separately).

La Paz a must see - Pickup on time by a knowledgeable professional tour guide. Small group and traffic is challenging. We received a rain poncho and bottle water, and did a couple of very quick stops of the way out for snacks and restroom, which was good. We then stopped a Cafe overlooking some coffee fields for a quick history lesson in Costa Rican coffee. It was ok, but actually a plantation. Next stop was up in the cloud forest to the La Paz waterfall gardens. We checked in, had a restroom break, and started the tour. The tour had quite a bit of walking and stairs, and I would call it a hiking tour. But, there is so much beauty and exhibits, it’s difficult to see everything. The gardens and exhibits are huge. Next was the included free buffet lunch, which was very good. We were allotted plenty of time to eat and rest up for the leg of the tour, the Waterfalls. Again a lot of stairs, but no one was in a hurry going up and down. Wear a comfortable sturdy pair of old tennis shoes, because your in the rain forest, they’ll be rain and a little mud. La Paz is amazing. Recommend

La Paz amazing - Pickup up on time by a knowledgeable and professional tour guide. It was a small tour group and the San Jose traffic is challenging. The coffee tour was just ok, but the waterfall gardens in the rain forest was outstanding. La Paz is a must tour to do, and the lunch buffet was good. Plenty of restroom breaks was appreciated. The only negative is that we did not tour the DOKA Estate, instead we stopped at the La Casa de Cafe overlooking a coffee field and got a coffee history lesson. Wear a comfortable sturdy OLD pair of tennis shoes, as your shoes will get wet and a little muddy. Also it’s a lot of stairs on the waterfall part of the tour. Recommend

Not what we imagined - This title of what this experience entails is a bit misleading. I’m giving it 3 stars because the waterfalls was as expected and amazing as well as the guide Fran. However the plantation was nothing as imagined. All this involved was going to a shop where you could view coffee plants in the back from a balcony. However all you did here was buy a cup of coffee and then there were souvenirs. You didn’t get a tour of the plantation or even a close view of the plants or beans. It was basically a stop along the way to buy a cup of coffee. We picked this tour specifically thinking more with the coffee plantations would be involved. Very disappointed in this.
