Fantastic Experience - This tour was amazing. We got to see everything we were expecting to at the cremation Ghat and our guide was so informative and patient and made the experience more than just a visual one. We learned so much. Seeing the city back streets and additional sites at night were also amazing and we cant say enough about the guide who made the experience what it was. Biggest tip I have given so far in India!!

I won’t see life the same as before - I had experienced the tour just after my arrival. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and it changed my view on life forever. Sonu has given me all the information and insights, he is a person that puts heart into what he is doing. He is genuine and he takes care of guest’s safety. I felt like being with an old friend or perhaps a teacher. Thank you Sonu, keep doing that!

Spiritual and Impressive - Area Evening we went with our German speaking and extremely competent guide Mukund to Manikarnika Ghat, the largest burning site in Varanasi. In India, life and death belong together and you can feel that in this place in particular. I wasn’t quite sure if I really wanted to see this before my trip, but in retrospect I’m glad we visited this most sacred place for Hindus on the Ganges. Bodies are washed there for 24 hours and burned at stake. At first glance, for those who do not believe or do not believe, it is certainly a bit strange, but very impressive. The place, although people say goodbye to their loved ones, exudes peace and quiet. There's something spiritual about it, even for us Westerners. Of course it's black and full of ashes because of the burns everywhere, but to our surprise, nothing is smelled except smoke. Spectators are allowed, but photography is forbidden, which should also be taken for granted, because we do not photograph our funeral either. Unfortunately, not all tourists have understood this..... This is an absolute MUST during a Varanasi visit, you must have experienced it, describing it correctly is hard.
