Expert Navigator in Old Town Varanasi - Badal was amazing! From the very start it was evident how much he cares about his customer’s experience. He is extremely knowledgeable, and able to answer questions on everything, whether it was something I saw on the tour, or something I saw elsewhere in Varanasi. His ability to navigate tight areas with large crowds was impressive, and he has a great sense of humor. I’ve had several tours while in India, and this was easily the best, and it’s because of Padal. Thank you!

Great Tour in a Fascinating City - Varanasi was a bit overwhelming, and I was glad we picked Hidden Secrets to guide us through the city. We met our guide, Akash, at a busy intersection outside the old part of the city near the Ganges. Akash led us through the streets of the old city, a maze we would have gotten lost in if left on our own. We stopped to see some incredible things you could see nowhere else: A cremation on the Ganges; an underground temple; a rooftop tour of a medieval mosque; and the Ratneshwar Mahadev. Akash was incredible. He was sharp and attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We felt like we were in great hands. Sometimes he would get far ahead of us and we would lose sight; but he always found us.

Great tour - Our tour with Akash was really memorable. He took us to some amazing sites and explained clearly about the history and symbolism of each stop. He always ensured we were safe and happy while navigating the busy streets. He was humorous, welcoming, knowledgable and kept checking we were following and understanding what he was telling us. It was great exploring Varanasi with Akash and with his knowledge. Would definitely recommend!

Worthwhile insights into the interior - A great guided tour through the streets of Varanasi, inside a crematorium, an actually closed mosque. Top guide who explained the rituals and backgrounds well and led the group very sympathetically and held it together. A real experience that you would never have managed on your own.

An unforgettable experience🙏🏻 - An exceptional experience with Akash – the best ride of our lives! If you think you’ve seen Varanasi, think again: Akash is where this city really reveals itself. This tour was, without hesitation, the most extraordinary we have done in our entire lives. A total immersion, rich in discoveries, history and unforgettable moments. From the start, Akash took us far beyond the classic courses, opening the doors to the most iconic places and best kept secrets of Varanasi. We explored every corner of the city, from the busiest ghasts to the small hidden alleys. He introduced us to mythical places, such as the palace slowly sinking into the water, the sacred basin where Sati, Shiva’s wife, is said to have lost her earring, and of course, the famous crematorium, where he explained to us with clarity and respect the meaning of funeral rituals. We also had the chance to see all the great monuments of the city, and even to take a boat on the Ganges (at a lower cost), an unforgettable experience that offered us a unique perspective on the ghasts and spirituality that permeates every moment of life in Varanasi. What makes Akash exceptional is not only his impressive knowledge of the city and its history, but also his incredible ability to adapt to his group. At every moment, he knew exactly what to show us, how to explain it and when to let us absorb the moment. He also gave us a multitude of tips and tricks, making our discovery even more immersive and enjoyable. And all this, always with a smile, a communicative energy and a rare benevolence. We have travelled to many countries and taken dozens of guided tours, but this one will remain forever. Varanasi is a unique city, but discovering it with Akash is a completely different experience. If you’re lucky enough to meet him, don’t think twice: he’s the best guide you can find.

An engaging companion - Our guide Niwas was an engaging and enthusiastic companion for this tour who made us feel safe during the very busiest time in Varanasi. Whilst it was impossible due to the crowds to go inside key temples, we saw plenty of Ganges and city activity. Thank you!
