A special experience in a unique city - Experiencing the evening Aarti ceremony was at the top of my list for my visit to Varanasi. Mr Kumar was all you could hope for in a guide, with helpful and interesting explanations, and expert navigation. I was lucky enough to join Mr Kumar for the morning boat ride earlier the same day for an equally special experience. Highly recommended!

Unforgettable Varanasi Experience with an Exceptional Guide - This was our first visit to Varanasi, and thanks to Mr. Vinod, our tour guide, we had an incredible experience. His deep knowledge of the city ensured that every aspect of our trip, from the hotel pickup to the boat ride and the Ganga Aarti, was truly unforgettable.

Very fascinating tour, we can just recommend it! - Very beautiful tour! Vinod (the guide) was very kind, informative and interesting. He didn’t just explain what we saw but also gave us fascinating glimpses into Varanasi and Hindu culture. The ceremony for the sunset was gorgeous and impressive. He even overstretched a little the timing of the tour to show us also a bit of the old city, which actually wasn’t included. Very happy, we can just recommend it! Btw the organizers are very efficient, a few minutes after I had booked the tour via Booking.com they already contacted me via Whatsapp for the last details and the guide picked us straight from the hotel.

Such a great experience! - We did the evening Aarti tour last week with Mr Vinod and had the best time. The boat element was cancelled due to high tides on the Ganges though that didn't stop it being a magical night.

Unsuitable activities during flood season - We went there just at the time of the flood, so all the stair-like areas on the riverbank that we had imagined were in the water. Boat rides are also banned by the police, so it is not possible, and the Aarti was a very small event. The tour company had informed us in advance whether or not to cancel the show due to the situation, but we left Aarti alone because we could see it. The Guide negotiated quickly to get us the best spot to see it, but it was still quite difficult because it was quite far away and only oblique, and we sat on hard concrete for a long time. Also, I made Reservations without knowing the market price without roses, but the price of the seats you provided is Rs 400 per person and the boat ride is Rs 200, so maybe the price of this tour is not worth it. That was my impression. (Incidentally, we didn't have a boat, but it seems we had a larger cruise ship, and some people watched Aarti from there. It looked comfortable & easy to watch, so I would Recommendation that)

Not worth the money at all. - We joined this tour via TripAdvisor and regret it. Converted we paid €90,- for 2 people. We were picked up at our hotel and walked on foot (700 meters) to the Ghats. Unfortunately, almost nothing was explained or told to us along the way. On the boat we received minimal information. Our questions could be answered, but since we have little experience, it is difficult to know what you can ask. If more were explained, we could go deeper into it. After the boat trip we went directly to the balcony for the Ganga Aarti ceremony (Note: This is not a private balcony as described, you just sit shoulder to shoulder with others). Here our Guide met a friend and he was away for the whole ceremony, so we had no explanation and no questions. After the ceremony it was another ‘silent trip’ back to our hotel. Definitely not worth the money. If we had known this we would have paid 200 rupees ourselves for the balcony and 500 for the boat. That would have saved us €80.
