Relaxed and insightful - We had an amazing morning with Mr Vinod, he was super friendly and we felt very comfortable to ask many questions which he helpfully answered. There were floods at the ghats so we spent part of the tour walking around town which was equally as insightful and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Mr Vinod to anyone who wants a very chilled tour whilst learning a lot about the city.

Go on this tour! - We had a great time on our boat ride with our guide Vinod Yadav. He is very knowledgeable about the city, its people and their various customs. It was a great trip. After the boat ride he took us through the small streets of old and new varanasi. And answered every question we had without judgement or expectation. And we were able to feel a lot closer to the city than we had previously. Many thanks to be able to experience this place and see through the eyes of the many for which this place is important in their pilgrimage. However it is important for everyone to know. That varanasi's ghats and some of its rituals are about mourning the dead. Which is a very personal journey for the family of the deceased. As a tourist one must remain respectful and a little distant. How would you feel if you father was being cremated and tourists are shoving camera's down your experience. Our guide shared stories of some disrespect people in the past on our request. And it honestly shocked us. Please be respectful. Your guide will be able to guide you as to what is respectful and what is not. Please dont try to push. Again. Many thanks. We had a great time. Varanasi is such a place of beauty. And we tried to find it out ourselfs first. But to have a guide guide you it 100x the experience.

Amazing experience! - From the moment we booked the tour, Indrajeet got in contact with us, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience. We had an exceptional morning boat tour in Varanasi, thanks to his excellent service. He was not only punctual but also incredibly knowledgeable about the area, which greatly enriched our tour. Being local, Indrajeet was able to offer insights and anecdotes that truly enhanced our understanding and appreciation of Varanasi's culture and history. The tour itself was breathtaking, with stunning views of the ghats and the rituals unfolding along the Ganges. Overall, we highly recommend this tour, especially with Indrajeet as your guide.

Morning boat trip - Excellent early morning tour with guide Vinod Kumar. We started 6.15am, Vinod picked us up at the guest house and took us to the Gange. It was quite foggy so we waited for the fog to dissipate and in the meantime we had a walk along the ghats. Then a boat ride to see both burning ghats. Vinod is very knowledgeable and passionate in explaining about India and hinduism. He also took us, on request, to a hostel used by elderly people before they pass away. The guide had excellent English. Tour highly recommended to get a better insight into Varanasi's history and religious traditions.

Don't waste your money in the Dec - Jan Dawn Fog - In Dec and Jan there is heavy fog and visibility on the river early in the morning is extremely poor. The tour operator was happy to take our money knowing that the experience would be terrible. Don't waste your money. Next day we walked along the ghats ourselves later in the day and saw everything for free. You can do a lovely walk from the main temple ghat to Assi ghats.
