This 3-hour, semi-private tour will take you through the awe-inspiring Vatican Museums, breathtaking Sistine Chapel, and majestic St. Peter’s Basilica. Our skip-the-line tickets ensure your day at the Vatican goes smoothly.
The Vatican is the beating heart of Rome’s legendary art scene. Powerful Popes have been collecting fantastic paintings, crafts, and antiquities for two thousand years, making the papal collection the finest in the world. Our expert guides are dedicated to bringing these extraordinary museums to life with anecdotes about the intriguing curiosities that line reside within the galleries.Â
Our grand finale will be a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica where we will admire more works from Michelangelo, including the famous Pieta and all the beautiful sculptures by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The tour concludes in the piazza where the Pope continues to hold his audiences.
- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk being refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
- Please note that the Papal Audience (held on Wednesdays) may result in the closure of the Basilica. There is no way of knowing where the Pope will choose to hold his audience, but should the Basilica be closed, we will spend more time in the Vatican Museums.

Absolutely Amazing - Our tour guide Barbara was amazing! She was waiting for us at the entrance when we arrived and made everything go smoothly. Our group needed some special accommodations and she made sure to help and allow everyone to participate. I am so grateful to have been able to have my whole family see and experience the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica! It was amazing! Thank you.

10/10 great tour with amazing guide! - Fantastic tour! Patricia was an amazing guide. Huge depth of knowledge about all things Vatican, art and Rome. Also an incredibly kind and thoughtful guide. She ensured everyone was comfortable and even asked the Swiss Guard to allow my mother (in her 70s) to take a short cut through the Vatican museum as she was wearing out. We appreciated everything Patricia did for us and all the information she shared! 10/10!

Very pleased - It was a little chaotic in the beginning trying to locate our guide. Also our tour was at 8:15 and we read the instructions to say be there at 7:30 which was unnecessary and confusing. However, our tour guide was a young woman named Louisa who was absolutely fabulous. She was extremely knowledgeable about the Vatican, the art and the various historical elements. Her English was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and her company.

Our tour guide was... - Our tour guide was excellent!!! She was very knowledgeable and kept us walking at a good pace so we were able to hit all the good points in our time frame. Meeting point instructions were very clear, and we were able to skip the long lines. Worth every dollar

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent - My wife and I booked a Vatican and Sistine Chapel VIP First Entrance tour and could not have had a better experience. We were a group of only four, were literally the first people in the door at opening and our guide was exceptional. She was friendly, organised and very knowledgeable. I look forward to booking more Walks Inside Rome in future.

Fabulous tour by Maria - Sistine Chapel, Vatican, Colosseum, Forum - We had a phenomenal tour of the Vatican, exclusive access to the Sistine Chapel, and then of the Colosseum and Forum with Maria Daga. We have visited the Sistine Chapel a few times before, including another early access, and this visit with our family was really outstanding thanks to Maria and Irina. They were extremely knowledgeable, and Maria in particular was engaging, flexible, and knowledgeable enough to adjust her content to each person in our small group. We had great access, weren’t rushed, and plenty of time to take in the best parts of the Sistine Chapel and Vatican. Maria was a real treasure….I’d ask for her and would highly recommend!!

Extremely bad meeting instructions. - Barbara, our tour guide was very good. But, both the instructions and the visibility of when and how to meet were terrible ... causing both problems and a delay in the morning. This was true for all the people in our group, not just my wife and I. Our tour was scheduled to meet at 7:20 a.m., with instructions to be 15 minutes early. We were early and in the right place (at the museum entrance) -- and I was showing my voucher to the guards and a few other people there and was told by everyone to go across the street. So, I went across the street and was told that the Tour Guy people would show up on the steps (by other tour guides). I went back across the street after about 15 minutes to the museum entrance and found no one with my suppossed group - but told to go across the street again. We found another party in our group having the same problem. The Tour Guy people showed up and told us that our tour wasn't part of them, although run by the same company. I went across the street again and finally found our guide. But, by now is was 7:45-7:50. So, while we all finally found the right group, there was wondering around, trying to call (and getting no one who could help) and finally feeling like we missed out on the front part of the line by 30 minutes so we were significantly back in the line. All-in-all, a terrible start to the day.
