Great tour - This was a great tour. It started with a virtual reality simulation of what Venice looked like in the 16th and 18th centuries. It was like being inside a model mockup. Very cool. Then the tour of the Doges Palace by Veronica was great. Skipped the long line and got right in. The only thing to note is that the directions to get to the tour office for tickets are hard. It says to go through the arches at the end of St. Marks Square and look for the Olivetti museum then continue walking. However, the Olivetti museum is actually a store front IN St. Marks Square. It has a few old typewriters in the window. Not really an open museum. So watch for that. We called tour office and they stayed on the phone with us until we found them. Very helpful.

Great tour guide! - Great tour guide. Very informative, just the right length of time. Quite a few stairs to climb so not suitable for people with walking problems.

Quick and beautiful - Our tour guide was very good at filling you in on the paintings meanings and what the purpose of each room was. Along with the history of Venice and in a short amount of time.

A stroll through the Doge’s Palace in Venice. - The tour through the Doge’s Palace was made memorable by the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide. Although the tour was under an hour, it was very extensive.

Good Tour - Our tour with Elisa was good. Informative and moved at a good pace. Really imparted more knowledge and historical perspective than you would get from simply wandering about. Without being part of this, or another group, the wait in line was very long, in the hot sun, without a speck of shade. The only negative I would give would be the utter disorganization at the meeting place as many different tours were meeting there as well.

Beware of Time on Ticket - Beware: Employee gave me a voucher for the ticket to go in at 11:20am when my booking was for 1pm, luckily lady at entrance didn't give me an issue but looked at me with disappointment. I am sure this so they can try to sell the actual time tickets live to someone. Just be sure to check what they give you thoroughly if you care or don't to be possibly turned around at ticket entrance. Still gave it 4/5 stars. It was an easy meet up spot in front of the museum and the experience was great. Thanks

Worth the wait to “skip the line” and see this beautiful Palace. - Just know that skip the line doesn’t meant that there isn’t a line at all. Still took about 30 minutes in the que and there was not a lot of signage to indicate where to wait. Beautiful castle however and so many beautiful pieces of art.

Tour was good - Purchase experience was disappointing. - This was a self guided tour to the Doge's palace that I purchased through Viator. The tour itself was good and the palace was amazing. However, When I picked up the 2 tickets for my wife and I, they were just basically print at home tickets that I could have purchased directly myself. The tickets were $25 Euros each ($50 euro total), but Viator charged me $125 usd. I was surprised at the market up. There was also no mention of skip the line on the tickets, but since we went in the morning skipping the line wasn't an issue. The VR experience must have been the free app they installed on my phone. Not sure what the guide book was all about since we didn't get one. I'm not sure Viator should have charged me so much. I'll definately do more home work before booking through Viator

Barely average —guide must have had an engagement to get to. - I was expecting more from our guide. Our tour started 15 mins late and while our guide was energetic and friendly the info provided was superficial. I had read some cool facts before the trip and had to ask about them because she skipped it. She was also quick to leave after going through the bridge of sighs. Saying explore more on your own. There was no VR experience. Expensive for the experience.
