Highlights
  • Gino Mazzuccato - Upon arrival at the Gino Mazzuccato Glass Factory, visitors will be greeted by a staff member who will guide them through the experience. The factory, housed in a former monastery with a prime location overlooking the Venice Lagoon, offers a unique setting. The activity begins with an observation of the Glass Master at work, demonstrating the creation of glass art pieces. Visitors will then have the opportunity to blow glass alongside the master.

Throughout the experience, a staff member will provide insights into the history of glass, the materials used, and the production techniques.

After the glassblowing activity, visitors can explore the rest of the glass collection.

Please note that the glass blown by visitors cannot be taken home immediately. This is because the glass must cool down slowly to be tempered, a process that takes approximately 24 to 48 hours.

Additional Information

A great value for money for this hands-on experience! Your chance to try to work with the famous Murano Glass, especially the blowing technique which is the oldest and the best-known one. Working the glass is extremely hard and it takes a long time to be able to do it, but this is going to be your first step into this world. An expert glass master will take care of you, first showing you how the famous Murano glass works and then it’s your turn! The glass Master will follow you during the experience. After this experience, you will visit our showroom to see the big artworks produced in our factory. It is a family-run glass factory, the oldest one still belonging to the founder.

Lots of blowing 😮‍💨 - Fun experience. Not only did I get to watch the master artist create blown glass sculptures, I actually got to try it. And they even use my camera to shoot a video of my experience. Highly recommend it!

100% worth it! - Watching the glass blowing and creation of pieces was fantastic, and being able to blow our own was even better! I was amazed! I also appreciated the discount offered at the end of the demonstration in the shop. I would definitely recommend this experience!

Nice experience - Experience to do. We went for a bachelorette party on the premise that the "bride" would like to have such an experience and was fascinated. Friendly staff, nice and very helpful.

It was a fun experience.... - It was a fun experience. Everyone was super nice. They explained the glass making process and then demonstrated some glass skills. My family and I were then able to try to blow glass. There was a shop to purchase glass items with no pressure to buy which was nice. I would recommend them!

There isn't much you get... - There isn't much you get to see them blow glass and then you blow a little yourself. Nothing too exciting.

Try your skills at glass blowing - for real - For the price, this was fun to be able to watch the glass blowing technique and then also try it out for ourselves. Now we didn't get to make anything real, but we did (including our 5 year old) get a chance to blow through the tube to see the reaction and precise technique needed to do the work of the master glass blowers. Highly recommend!

Not as expected - Not what I expected. The glass blowing demo was interesting but the experience was disappointing. My daughter and I each got a minute or so to go up and blow into a tube and then smash the glass bubble we had just blown. That’s it. We paid more than the rest of the crowd and got very little for it. Also the entire experience, including the demo, was not more than 20 minutes.

Gino Mazzuccato Glass Factory glass blowing - My family were planning to visit the Murano Glass Academy but sadly when we arrived, it was closed for the day. So we decided to try the Gino Mazzuccato Glass demonstration glass blowing class for E7 a head. The classes don’t start on time which I wish we knew as we left our meal. The female attendant was very curt to my husband when asking about the bathroom for our daughter …she just kept saying ‘ I am on my lunch break’ over and over when we asked where the bathroom was! Really bizarre behaviour considering she was in the shop floor. Other staff members supported her response. Glass blowing class was good but just after it started it was flooded by a group tour who entered from a boat at the rear of the workshop. If we knew it was on a group tour circuit, we would not have booked. Such a pity the Academy was closed that day !
