Highlights
  • Gino Mazzuccato - Upon arrival at the Gino Mazzuccato Glass Factory, visitors will be greeted by a staff member who will guide them through the experience. The factory, housed in a former monastery with a prime location overlooking the Venice Lagoon, offers a unique setting. The activity begins with an observation of the Glass Master at work, demonstrating the creation of glass art pieces. Visitors will then have the opportunity to blow glass alongside the master.

Throughout the experience, a staff member will provide insights into the history of glass, the materials used, and the production techniques.

After the glassblowing activity, visitors can explore the rest of the glass collection.

Please note that the glass blown by visitors cannot be taken home immediately. This is because the glass must cool down slowly to be tempered, a process that takes approximately 24 to 48 hours.

Additional Information

A great value for money for this hands-on experience! Your chance to try to work with the famous Murano Glass, especially the blowing technique which is the oldest and the best-known one. Working the glass is extremely hard and it takes a long time to be able to do it, but this is going to be your first step into this world. An expert glass master will take care of you, first showing you how the famous Murano glass works and then it’s your turn! The glass Master will follow you during the experience. After this experience, you will visit our showroom to see the big artworks produced in our factory. It is a family-run glass factory, the oldest one still belonging to the founder.

Loved it and affordable. - Beautiful experience, we all loved it and this one in part is not very expensive compared to others. Each of us got the opportunity to blow the red hot glass out of the oven.

Super fun and definitely book through Viatour - This was really neat and I could have watched an hours long demonstration from the glass master. I was glad we booked through viatour because a lot of the others in our group had booked somewhere else and they did not get to participate and blow glass. The whole experience was really fun.

Truly an amazing experience! - Our family was extremely happy with our experience, it was well worth the money and the people were very kind! We were shown by the glass master how a vase and a horse figure are made. We also got to blow the glass to form a big bubble, which we really liked. As said, all the staff was very kind to us and we were very happy and pleased with our choice to book this experience :) We definitely recommend booking this experience if you want to see a glass master in action and also want to blow the glass a little bit, with a very good quality-price ratio!

Must do small group experience - Informative and entertaining. We were invited to stay for another demonstration. My husband was not expecting the demo to be fun day

Superb - Absolutely superb experience! We were lucky enough to watch a glass blowing demonstration and have a go at blowing the glass ourselves. The guide and the glass master were both very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this experience to others.

Not what we expected. - The experience itself was really good. The staff were informative and engaging. My issue was that the experience was sold as being for 45 minutes. We were somewhat rushed in and out all done in 20 mins. What we experienced was great but wanted and expected more. We also booked for 6 people but when we arrived they said only 4 people could do the actual glassblowing. Still don't know why. Fortunately 2 of our group didn’t want to do it but still charged the same price. They could make this experience fantastic but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend in its current form.

Rude staff - The girl at the ticket counter was looking at us as if we had come to steal here, because we are brown people? She wasn't even Italian and looked like an Asian and was smiling at everyone else. One star for the rude attitude.
